Great trip
My husband and i stayed here with our 2 yr old boy. The staff were very nice and accommodating. They provided us a comfy room on the first floor and gave us a microwave which was useful. Ted at the lobby provided my son & i a curtesy 3 mins. cart ride to and from the zoo. Yey! They have a heated pool overlooking a portion of the ocean. The hotel was clean and it is situated in a good location- Just across the street is a playground and the beach.

Enjoyable hotel near the beach
Comfortable stay at this property. The hotel was different because it felt more like a b&b instead.Loved the bed. So comfortable. The room was very clean and nice. The room had a A/C unit that is remote controlled. I wasn't sure about swimming in the pool because I don't like pools with lots of chlorine. To my surprise, the water did not sting my eyes. It was kept very clean.Happy hour is nice because the have a bar outside plus if you get cold, a fireplace to relax by.I was also pleased they offered free wifi. I could use my iPad while relaxing at the pool.What a great getaway. Service was very nice and were very helpful.I would stay here again.

Over priced, old, pet rooms awful
We just checked into the Hyatt with our dog and are already looking to leave. It's like they bought an apartment building across the street and throw everyone with dogs back there. The rooms are dark and foreboding. You have about 4' between your room and "view" onto the building next door. The bed feels like it is from 1970's the mattress is awful. Despite Gold status with Hyatt, this is all they could offer us. The room is like a Motel 6 with better furniture (except the bed). No thanks Hyatt. We will be closing our Hyatt credit card and taking our business elsewhere. We came to Santa Barbara to have a relaxing stay and this is the pits. What a disappointing start to the weekend.Can't imagine paying regular rates for this room. Really....you do not want to stay here.

very nice stay
We spent the weekend in Santa Barbara escaping the heat of the Phoenix area. The Hyatt was a nice respite. The bed was comfortable and room quiet. The road separates the hotel from the ocean, but the traffic was light and we didn't hear a lot of road noise.

Gracious Living
We are on our annual road trip to Northern California. No trip would be successful without an overnight stop at the Hyatt Santa Barbara. I've stayed at Hyatt all over the world because whatever country, I can count on the Hyatt Standards. Our absolute favorite room at the Hyatt Santa Barbara is #153 and the folks at the Hyatt are always accommodating. There is a wonderful breakfast just a short walk to the left at the Beach Club. It's just you and the Pacific. It doesn't get better than this.
