Good for your money
Overall experience was good for the money we paid. You just have to bypass how outdated the resort is.* Casino was very smoky and not upgraded at all.* Pool was small and didn't have enough lounge chairs. Other than that, we loved the live dj and cleaniess of the pool area.* Rooms was very spacious. We got a suite. Which included a mini kitchen (a bar fridge, coffee maker, sink and counter space). We booked the north tower, so it was suppose to be upgraded. Which it might have been but still quite old. Only complaint about the rooms was, the noise. Not very sound secure. * The food court was being upgraded when we were there, so we didn't get to experience that. We did eat at the restaurant near the north tower, which was ok (service was slow, food portion was big, price was average & evironment needed to upgraded)* Parkade was dirty (always had beer bottles everywhere) and quite a far walk to hotel and casino.

Great stay in excellent location
I stayed 4 nights in mid April 2013. We arrived at the hotel at 1100 AM and were in our room by 1130. The room was very nice with 2 queen beds and a view of the Flamingo and Caesars Palace. No smokey smell like a lot of other people have said. My biggest complaint that others have spoken about is no coffee maker in room. The location is obviously one of the benefits of staying here. Connected to the Paris hotel(which has the best breakfast buffet) and right across from Flamingo and Bellagio. While I never got very lucky in the casino, they had a great selection of table games and slot machines. Very friendly staff and pretty good with bringing the drinks. We ate at the tequila bar and had many drinks from the frozen drink place. All were very good.I will definitely consider staying at this hotel again on my next trip.

Big room, smokey casino, too many add ons
Room was not very fancy, but it was very spacious. The casino was very smokey, but our rooms were non smoking and did not smell smokey at all.Thought I had prepaid before I got there but had to pay extra for a king size bed, and also resort fees. There are no views from the north tower, unless you enjoy looking at parking lot.No nice place to eat in there, you are better off going next door to hells kitchen or to some other buffet down the strip. Found food very expensive at Ballys.The location was good as it was central to other casinos on the strip. They also have a free shuttle to the Rio, which I used to go to WSOP tournament.Did not mind staying here as we came for the VNEA pool tournament, but might possibly have stayed elsewhere if it was just for a vacation.The pool area was nice.

Great location but smoky lobby
Pros: Bally's is in a great location on the strip - very central and it's an easy walk through shops and some restaurants to the Paris hotel (without going outside) which is nice. The entire hotel is on a smaller scale (and less expensive) than the other strip hotels (it's also a much shorter walk to the rooms which was great) but the rooms in the hotel also reflect that it is one of the older hotels on the strip. They upgraded me to a better room even without me asking. Cons: The lobby is very smoky (although my room was not) and there's no way around it since the hotel lobby and the casino are right next to each other. Additionally, they charged a mandatory $16 "resort" fee which was not explained in my booking (I booked through Expedia). Included in the resort fee was wireless internet, which I was planning to use, but if you weren't interested in it then the resort fee was just an extra fee with nothing to show for it.

Great experience North Tower
The location can't be beat. Pool was nice, the only problem was the perpetual lack of lounge chairs. I wish staff would routinely go through the pool area and remove towels from seats where people have left. The towels on the chairs make it seem like someone is there when they really aren't. For some reason, we didn't discover the breakfast buffet until our last day! Kind of hidden I guess, but it was very good. Coffee and juice are not included - I didn't know that until i paid. Check-in was very good. I requested the North Tower since it was my husband's birthday (as evidenced by his Reward Card - I'm sure they could have checked!) and we got a great room. I really can't complain about a thing except maybe that the valet was full even for hotel guests at one point. I realize it was Memorial Day weekend, but that was kind of disappointing to deal with. One more thing...i wish there was coffee in the room. It's been a long time since i've been in a hotel without a coffee pot.
