Great Hotel
Over all was impressed with the Hotel & the service. Nice big spacious room. Handy having the Indian place downstairs. Only downside was the lift, a second lift would be ideal as there was always a wait for it & not much room to unload my bags into the small corridors/felt like i was in someones way waiting with my bags to get in the lift. Overall though, would stay here again. Thanks

Auckland acomodation
We arrived late at night and were a bit apprehensive when we stepped out of the lift and saw cement walls. When we stepped into our two bedroom apartment we very happily surprised.The apartment had a balcony with very good views considering the price we paid, it was only two blocks from the viaduct and was only a short work to coffee shops pizza etc. also close to general store money exchange and bottle shop.The apartment had everything we required for our two nights in Auckland.

lovely place
Although this is an older building, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there. I love the Art Deco style. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Great location, really close to the Vecta Arena.I would definitely stay there again. The room was very comfortable.

great pre cruise stay
Very walkable location for waterfront and lots of sights.Hotel front desk service was great. Promptly checked us in early after long flight and came right up to set up Internet for us. The lobby and hallways are very dark but our room was light, bright and contemporary with tons of space . Nice space with kitchen, living room and 2 bedrooms...we used the second one as changing , luggage area.Gloria Cafe up the street was great for coffee and breakfast and there are little stores close by to buy snacks and drinks etc.Only downside....With morning traffic or a cunning cab driver we ended up paying almost $100 fare from airport ...look into shuttle or inquire with hotel ahead ....I had read it should be about $55 but! :(

Great stay
We stayed at the Waldorf Celestion for 4 nights pre cruise and were very happy with our choice of hotel. It was within walking distance of many good restaurants as well as many Auckland attractions (such as the harborfront which is great).The suite (living room/dining area/kitchen plus 2 bedrooms) was spotlessly clean and the kitchen had all the utensils required to complete good meals. We also enjoyed having a very large balcony. In addition, there are laundry facilities available.Front desk personnel were very accommodating. The only thing one must remember to do is to bring shampoo/conditioner. Otherwise this hotel is wonderful.
