A great hotel to stay in Whistler
My husband, son and stayed in the Hilton in Whistler for a week at the end of the snow season this year, and we were very impressed with our room. We had booked a 2 queen suite, and the size of the room really blew us away. The living area with sofa bed and kitchen was a nice size, and the bedroom was huge with a wall to wall wardrobe on one side. More than enough room to house each of us and all our luggage and snow gear.The kitchen was fairly well stocked, so we were able to cook breakfast every morning easily, as well as store our snacks etc. Given the slightly more expensive price of breakfast in the hotel restaurant, we were happy to be able to save a few dollars by cooking at least one of our meals ourselves.The hotel staff were super friendly, which is what we have come to know and expect from Hilton staff. We loved the toiletries provided, again at a quality which we have come to expect as standard from a Hilton hotel. We didn¿¿¿t think much of the ¿¿¿outdoor firepit¿¿¿, which was a gas fire at a low setting which didn¿¿¿t give off much heat to warm you in the cold weather. But the room also had a gas fire in it, so we could enjoy that together in the warmth of the room. The location of the hotel was fantastic for skiing/snowboarding. Exiting the hotel from the rear brings you right to the Summit Sports shop where you can get all your rental gear, and if you go out the shop¿¿¿s front entrance you are right in front of the Whistler gondola. Plus Summit allows you to store your boards with them at the end of each day, which is convenient and saves you lugging equipment up to your room each night.Whistler itself is a lovely location with plenty of places to choose from for dinner, so we didn¿¿¿t eat at the hotel at all. Whistler prices are a bit more expensive than the rest of BC, but that¿¿¿s pretty well known. They are still far cheaper than where we are from (Perth, Western Australia) but we could notice the difference from the other places we visited in BC. We can definitely recommend the restaurant 21 Steps- while we were there, they had a 3 course menu for $35, which was the best food we tasted in Whistler. It was so good we went there on 2 separate nights.The day we left, the hotel happily held our luggage for us to allow us to spend our last day on the slopes, and they also allowed us to use the downstairs spa/pool showers to freshen up before heading off. The bell hop was also very kind in letting us access our luggage a few times on that last day to add various items to it as we made some last minute purchases.We were very happy with our stay at the Hilton and we would definitely recommend it to anyone who might be visiting Whistler. I only which we could have stayed longer :)

Great during the ski season
We have stayed several times at this hotel during the winter ski season and, compared with oher whistler options we have used, it is good value for money. It may not be the glitizest , but the rooms are clean, comfortable and roomy, if a little old fashioned. We stay in a suite with kitchen and fireplace which makes it very cozy.The position is hard to beat as it is opposite the ski lifts and the staff are friendly and helpful.The only issues are that the room heater is an old type and is noisy and the spa is too expensive.

Sincere Staff and Comfortable Pillows & Beds
In a transient area like Whistler it's hard to get good staff. Staff that do a good job cleaning the rooms and care about their guest experience. I really felt that the staff at the Whistler Hilton were sincere and cared about their guests and their experience at the hotel. Each staff member I came into contact with either asked how my day was, where I was from, or how my drive up was. In each of these cases, it came accross as very sincere and that they really were interested to know! The cleanliness of the room was also better than most I have experienced in Whistler and I've probably stayed in at least 10 different hotels over the years!

Great hotel, just some... Issues with the staff.
Got a great deal with the "suite secrets" promotion, no complaints with the room. The heater/ac system worked really well and the in room fireplace was very nice. There were 2 problems with the staff :1. When we came back to the room on one day, the cleaning lady was just finishing up. When we walked into the room, there was a very strong smell in the bathroom, like the cleaning lady had just used it. I had to light candles and open up the windows to air out the *entire room*.... Maybe the staff should use a different bathroom. 2. On the morning of checkout, a staff member entered the room after knocking only once, a full hour before checkout. I was alone in the room and was in the shower!Tl:Dr great hotel, strange staff activity.

Excellent Place to stay
My booking reservation was messed up by the main reservation call center. They reserved a King bed for 3 adults. in very short order, the front desk sorted it out and included a cot in the room, at no extra cost to us. The establishment is meticulously clean in all visible public areas including our room. Also very friendly staff. Would I book there again? Absolutely.
