Stunning!
The 5 stars are deserved. We stayed on a special rate and would happily pay the full rate when we next return to Q'town. The beds, pillows and linens are so comfortable, we slept really well. The bathroom had a lovely tiled bath with power shower overhead. Nice to be able to have a long soak in a deep bath after a hard day of sightseeing! The underfloor heating was great when it was -2 degrees at night.The parking underneath was convenient, although the 10 minute stroll into town was fine - you really don't have to hire a car if you are staying here as it's on the bus route from the airport into town.Only very minor niggles were the slowish Internet and the rather noisy fan in the bathroom - hard to relax when it sounds like a jet plane...Staff were efficient, friendly and helpful - even found me a sewing kit for a quick repair. The use of a washing machine and tumble dryer with Eco wash provided is also helpful for those skiing or on a long stay. Well thought out.

Bliss!
We stayed here for part of our honeymoon, and it was so lovely! We arrived to a free bottle of bubbles, choccies & a bottle of beautiful perfume for booking directly through Pounamu website. The apartment was gorgeous & the view-STUNNING! A short walk into town, awesome location. Staff were friendly & helpful. Will definitely be staying here again, next trip to Queenstown!!

Great place to stay
I love these apartments. Heated floor boards, cosy bed, fireplace and heated bathroom. The view of the Frankton Arm of Lake Wakatipu was beautiful as well as the snow capped mountains.The staff were friendly and the location was perfect for a walk or taxi ride into the town, as well as getting picked up by the buses to go to the mountains.

Happy with the accommodation but crappy internet
Stayed at Pounamu for 5 nights in the school holidays with our 6 year old grandson and 9 and 11 year old nieces. We were happy with the accommodation - 2 bathrooms with underfloor heating, a laundry with washing machine and dryer and the kitchen and lounge more than met our expectations. We were back from the road so had no problem with traffic noise and we also had parking. So all in all, we were happy with that.What we weren't happy with was the internet connection. It's really crappy. But first the mouse froze - they came and fixed that. Then the password didn't work - they came and fixed that. Finally I decided to check my email. What takes 5 minutes at home still wasn't finished 25 minutes later. It was like the slowest dial up ever. I could have taken up the other offer - fast internet at $10 a minutes - yes, that's $10 ten dollars a minute. Not likely. And please don't tell me the slow internet was an isolated situation as I've stayed there before and had exactly the same problem. Just as well using the internet wasn't that important. Could I suggest they don't bother with providing laptops in the apartments and instead provide an adequate internet connection?? Please ...

Good place at a good price
We stayed here for four nights in Feb during HM trip. It has a great view of the lake. Check in was okay as we had reached early, we had to wait for sometime. The place is a km away from city center, Shotover street. Its a very pleasant walk though. Shotover street is the main street where you get all the stuff required. Back to apartments. Very energetic managers. We were greeted quite well. They were very excited to accommodate honeymoon couple. They tried to make our day with luring gifts. It was quite lively experience. There was one aspect which we could not quite swallow is that room servicing is only done once is 9 days. We need to clean our rooms and other stuff. May be this is how apartments are run like that there but we did not have any experience. They were also quite helpful in booking and suggesting activities.
