Do not stay!
While this "hotel" is cheap it is certainly not worth the price. We paid $23CAD for one room, two twin beds. Arrived, got to our room, one double bed. Had to go back down to the front desk to get another room. No apology or anything. We come up to our "new" room and it's small, cramped and very old. The beds were extremely hard even for Asia (I have previously lived in Korea and currently live in China), there were dead bug splatters over all 4 walls and even the ceiling. There were scuff marks at least 4 feet up the walls. My sheet had 4 red stains on it that looked very close to that of blood. Holes in the sheets of the other bed.The location is alright as it's close to the Forbidden City and such but the area around this hotel is not nice to say the least. Definitely in a shady part of town.We booked two nights here but decided to go elsewhere for night #2. Not worth it unless you're used to crappy rooms, poor service and uncomfortable beds.

Very thin walls, staff not extremely helpful
Arriving into Beijing by train, our first contact with the hotel was to call them to see if they could arrange a car to pick us up (to get a taxi is VERY difficult). The receptionist who answered couldn't speak english so transferred me but no one ever answered and then they hung up. Wasn't happy about that. Ok, so no help with getting us to the hotel!On arrival, check in process was ok, quite slow though. Our room was ok, although I requested a Twin room (with 2 beds), we were given a King Size Bed. I was too tired to complain so just put up with it. We barely slept at all that night as the people in the room next to us were talking VERY loudly all night (I am 100% sure they were gambling which is apparently illegal in this hotel). They finished up around 4.15am. Whilst I don't think this is the hotel's fault (that we were unlucky enough to be next door to them), I do think they should have not allowed it to continue for so long. Multiple people complained about the noise and still, they were not evicted! On check out, we asked again if they could arrange a car to take us to the train station. Given that we have a 2 year old child, we didn't want to stand around outside in the snow to try and get a taxi. They were very unhelpful with this too. They wouldn't even help with getting us a taxi. Best they would do is write the train station down in Chinese for us to show the taxi driver. Gee thanks!!! Took approx 25min for a taxi. All in all, this hotel is OK! The price was good (188RMB per night) but I still think they could give better service.

Basic Hotel , Internet presentaion better than reallity
If you get a good price the Hotel is a good possibility for a cheap stay in Beijing.. Service is correct. Room presentation on the Internet is much better than the reallity. Rooms are clean.

Don't stay here
Really the only positive for this hotel was location. Convenient, even if surrounded by construction and a solid 10 minute walk to the subway. For the price, you can do a lot better in Beijing. They do daily cleaning, but there were stains on the mattress pad visible through the sheets and stains on top of the comforter. Tiles in the bathroom were taped together, the window was broken, the ceiling was not repainted where there had been a big leak, you get the picture. Probably a nice room once, but they haven't kept it up.Most frustrating for me was internet access. Really wish I had brought a laptop on this trip, but I didn't, so I've been relying on internet at hotels or internet cafes (which I've found foreigners are not always allowed in, but that's another story...) The "internet access" here is one computer in the lobby that you have to stand to use. And that disappeared my second day. I was told there was no other computer I could use. When the computer returned days later, the internet didn't work.
