Helpful Staff (in time of need), Large room
We stayed at the Pacific Regency for one night in May 2013. We reserved a standard room but upon arrival were upgraded to an enormous penthouse one-bedroom unit on the 32nd floor (the only things above us were the pool and restaurant). The location was across the street from KL Tower (a communications tower with an observation deck) but was not close to much else. It's a bit of a hike (slightly uphill) from the nearest public transit station (monorail). However, the location was quiet. The suite we had was located in an odd location...kind of at the end of a short service-type corridor between the service elevator and emergency stairs. The suite itself consisted of a large kitchen, living room, dining area in front of a window, bedroom, and large bathroom. The decor was a bit dated and sterile (lots of beige and brown), particularly in the kitchen and living room, but everything was quite functional. The apartment really was enormous. There was tons of storage in the bathroom (closets in the bathroom...go figure), and a large tub and separate shower area. The king-size bed was extremely comfortable...especially by Asian standards where hotel beds tend to be quite firm. The apartment had two large windows overlooking the KL Tower. Although designed to be opened, the windows seemed to be sealed shut (or opening them was more complicated than I could figure out). The one downside was that the windows were quite dirty on the outside, spoiling the view of the skyline and distant mountains. We went up to the roof top pool one night only to discover that it closes so that the space can be used as an outdoor nightclub. So, instead of a dip in the pool, we used our complimentary drink passes and enjoyed the fresh air from high above the city. Oddly enough, the complimentary drink passes were only for non-alcoholic drinks...so after our juices, we ordered beer/wine). It's a nice space up there with ambient music and amazing views in three directions. We also had a decent meal at the adjacent restaurant, with views in the other direction. The front desk staff was extremely helpful at check-in. At 11pm that night, my husband went for a walk to a nearby convenience store (which wasn't very nearby as a result of the isolated location of the hotel) and on his way down the dark hill fell into a storm drain whose cover was missing. The hotel was extremely helpful and accommodating to us...coordinating transportation to the hospital (where he had to have minor surgery) and providing a wheelchair upon his return from the hospital. When we weren't sure if we were going to need to extend our stay because of the hospitalization, they allowed us to extend our reservation for an extra night at the same rate. But when we learned he would be released from the hospital and we would be able to catch our flight, they allowed us to cancel the reservation and only charged us a late check-out fee.If you're looking for a large space, a nice rooftop pool with great views, and a very helpful front desk/concierge staff (and can put up with slighted dated decor in the kitchen and living room) then this place will work great for you. I think it's more geared towards business-people and people staying on a long term basis. I wouldn't consider it ideal for a romantic couples getaway.

Great place to stay
Really great hotel to stay in. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, even came around one day to check that we were happy with everything and see if there were any problems in our room. The room was lovely and clean and the bed was very comfortable.Breakfast buffet provided a nice variety of tasty food. The hotel was within walking distance to the towers and some shops and a short taxi ride to more shops, restaurants and China Town.

Another lovely stay
This was our third time staying at Pacific Regency and it just gets better. We have 3 different room types ( although always booking the same), and each has had a different apspect. We have always been up high and love the views, even if its to watch the rain cloud coming in over the city. Wonderful staff from the time you walk in(either entrance)or out to the delightful housekeeping lady whose English was excellent and nothing was too much trouble. The bed was super comfortable, linen clean and other facilities more than adequate. Our air conditioning was not working in the kitchen area, however the main air conditioning through the hall, bedroom and sitting room worked well enough to keep our room fresh and cool. We have never had breakfast included previously - this time we were pleasantly surprised to be given the breakfast card. The choices should please everyone with a good range of hot, cold, fruits, drinks and bread/pastry - really anything you could possibly want. . Pacific Regency may seem a little out of the way, however it remarkably central and quiet. It is close to both mono rail, LRT and bus stops for getting about the city, and a short walk to Bukit Bintang/KLCC if shopping malls are your thing. It is immediately across the road from KL tower entrance, although we have never been to the top. We only used the pool area once for early morning swimming as there had been lots of functions which ultimately left lots of tidying up, we didn't bother going back later in the day - but there are great views to be had from up on the roof and the reason we haven't been up KL tower. Our very favourite place to stay in KL. Thank you once again.

Its was ok
After take over an hour from the airport, we arrived and the room was sorted right away, after 20 mins we asked if we could change rooms as we could hear everything from next door they had a baby there and boy did it cry. that was sorted within 10 mins. the room we had was large a small kitchen and a sofa, so we could watch tv sat up or in bed. we had a large window that looked over the city, and the Menara tower. the roof top bar was a bit of a pain as you could only sit on certain seats after 6 o'clock as it seemed to turn into a pick up bar at night. But the view from up there was fantastic day and night as the PETRONAS towers were close. Breakfast was very nice plenty to eat and lots of choice. this was a nice hotel staff were ok nothing special and it was in a good location.

Spectacular roof top area and big rooms...
...without any love in it in terms of decoration. Stayed there during a business trip in a family suite with my colleague. Very close to the chinese market, the Petronas towers and the nightlife area.Breakfast was good, but nothing special. From the Hotel you can go by walk in 5 minutes to the "Beach Club", where the nightlife is...let¿¿s say something you will not find in Europe...
