There is NO WAY this is a four star hotel...
Hotwire sold this as a four star hotel, no way. The first room we were given was teeny, full of fruit flies (or something yucky and small flying around) and we faced the alley. We went to the front desk and asked for our money to be refunded. As a compromise, we were given one of the top floor units, and it was really nice. My advice is to insist on top floor and be very clear about your expectations on the accommodations. Also- forget about breakfast, its nothing you'd want to eat. I will say that it was close to some fun walking areas and there were a lot of students around, so the neighborhood was lively.

Wonderful Bed
We had a 2 bedroom apartment. The rooms were smaller than expected but the bed made up for it. One of the best beds I have slept on. The overall feeling was value for money. Not the greatest location but still in the heart of the city.

¿¿¿great choice in Auckalnd¿¿¿
We made the right choice by staying in March 2013 in this lovely place in Auckland Central area.It was very central and within great short access to most of the area that the family wanted to visit. Very modern, secured complex with spacious fully furnished 2 bedroom hotel apartment.We had a great size kitchen, internal laundry, very good WiFi service and great clean accommodation for 4 nights with delicious complimentary prepacked breakfast every day evening for next morning . Very reasonable price for a family of 4 stay in a great location.The hotel staff was very friendly and cooperative.

Never stay here again....
I travel to Auckland for work a lot and have never had any issues checking into any hotels on my lunch break so to start off was a bit put off that my room wasn't ready even though I stipulated in my booking. I got to my room and was a bit disappointed with the 'continental breakfast' banana, kids juice box, muesli bar and a cake that was stale is not what I consider a 'continental breakfast'.The rooms are well worn, walls dirty, mould in the bathroom and stains and marks all over the carpet.What disgusted me the most was that I went into the bathroom to use the loo and low and behold there were cockroaches!!!! I left the bathroom and then saw some more scuttle across the carpet!! I went down to reception and waited for quite a while as the man at the desk was on the phone chatting in another language, I spoke to him and he said 'oh that's strange because we have just had that room fumigated so you can stay in it' he said it in the tone that he didn't believe me. Lucky I had taken a photo on my phone as proof so I showed the man and he promptly gave me another key for another room.I changed rooms, this room wasn't much better, stains and marks on the carpet, mould etc again, the fridge had milk in it but one of them was used and the rubbish was sitting in the fridge. There was 'continental breakfast' but it was 2 pieces of stale cake that looked like it had been sitting there for who knows how long!!I would never come here again!!

Better than expected
I had read some negative reviews and was a bit apprehensive about booking our party of 4 into a two bedroom apartment here but I thought the rate we offered at the time was too good to refuse for a CBD location. I contacted the hotel to ask about parking and they advised we could park for $25 per night. When I asked if there were any other options nearby they gave me the details of Tournament Parking which has a number of parking lots within very close distance. I appreciated the information and used it to book our car in for $56 for 4 nights.Upon arrival we were greeted by a very pleasant young lady. She was a bit surprised when I asked to inspect the room before signing in but after reading some of the reviews I felt this was necessary. She rang the housekeeper who confirmed the room had been cleaned and she gave me the key. The apartment was quite modern and showed some wear and tear but nothing drastic in my opinion. The bedrooms were quite large and everything looked clean and neat. A bonus...... a balcony off the lounge/dining at the front and a large balcony at the back adjoining our bedrooms. A continental breakfast was included which consisted of a banana, cake, protein bar and yoghurt which we thought was sufficient and nutritionally balanced. We were also given complimentary wi-fi - another bonus. The wi-fi was a bit dodgy in the mornings but I guess many people were trying to access it, so I just had to wait until space became available.We rang reception a few times about a few things (ie no dishwasher detergent, internet problems, and we needed some assistance with the operation of the washing machine) and within minutes someone was knocking on our door to assist. We were impressed with the service at this hotel.All in all we thought we received extremely good value at this hotel and the location was great - just off Queen Street. We would definitely stay here again.
