Nice Bathroom
The location wasn¿¿¿t that great; too far from the main attraction we wanted to see. We found the buses very great fun at times, I loved the walk. The hotel was elegant with helpful and nice staffs. The room was clean and well sized. The food was good but little expensive. Overall, it¿¿¿s a great hotel. Nice staffs who spoke English. The room was clean and had nice bathroom. Although it was far from the main attraction it was nice and quiet.

Wonderful!
Charming, good bathrooms, friendly/helpful staff! We had 2 rooms on the top floor overlooking Florence. Great view (unexpected) plus the second room slept 3 people and had 2 bathrooms (great for family of 5)! We went to Florence but also had a car for day trips away from Florence. Parking available for small extra fee-perfect! To get into the fray of Florence, you pretty much need to take the bus (or cab) which is right in front of the hotel (easy and often--about 10 min ride to the heart)--I would not recommend this as a location for those wanting to walk out the door and be right in the fray of Florence. There is a good restaurant within a few minutes walking distance; other restaurants require 20 min walk or quick bus/cab (and those restaurants are NOT touristy)--so we liked this! Yummy breakfast was a huge plus and included in price so a great value too (amazing coffee machine, pastry, fruit, fresh squeezed juices, ham/salami, yogurt, granola, etc)! Would go back in a heartbeat!

Nice place in the green part of Florence
Stayed in the house in the garden. Very spaceous and nice rooms. Good breakfast. Bus stops in front of the hotel. Good service by reception. The main building is a nice old villa which is kept that way. Good value for money and would certainly go back there.

Elegance overlooking town
The hotel is some distance from the Centro Storico which is both positive and negative. It is much quieter than down in the town and possibly a bit cooler being on the hill, but it means you are reliant on buses or taxis to get to and from town unless you are happy to walk. The walk is OK if you don't have a recently operated-on foot (brother) or are in mid-eighties (mother). For me it was fine if rather hot in the day-time. The bus connections are pretty good anyway. There are good walks along the hillside to see a wonderful view of the city, and down the lane at the back towards the Bobolino gardens and the fortress above the Arno.The hotel is very classy. The rooms were comfortable, the food quite acceptable, if a bit expensive. You might not want to eat there every night if you are there for more than a couple of nights. The staff were friendly and the standard of English spoken was pretty good.Sitting on the verandah with early evening drinks was a very relaxing way to wind down (until I saw the bill for three gin and tonics each night!) So, overall a nice relaxing place with friendly staff and reasonable food.

Nice quiet place
This an old remodeled palace hotel. We had a superior room with a very nice bathroom and fantastic view of the countryside. Personnel very helpful and competent. Just outside of the busy center of Florence, but with easy access by bus and by foot.
