What You See is not what you get
Very friendly once booking was made, seemed very helpful when arrived with family, breakfast was simple but very adequate, very pushy regarding booking tours for Halong Bay and Train tickets to Da Nang. eventually booked with them only to find out during trip that i had payed 3 times to much.Asked for a laundry to take our clothes to to be told they will take there for us, recieved clotes back 3 days later all stinking badly and a lot of them with iron burns over them, ruined had to be thrown out. 3 times they called a taxi for us it was the same driver that took us the long way and said he not take us before, all in all down right unpleasant experience with this hotel. Strongly advise people to pay a little more for better facilities

Wouldn't bother
After spending two nights at the Hanoi Asia my girlfriend and myself were left pretty unimpressed with the hotel.Although the room was large, the bathroom was poor and untidy, the windows had gaps which allowed a draught, the bed was very uncomfortable (and we both had insect bits afterward, although it seems harsh to directly attribute that to the hotel), the breakfast selection was pretty poor and the hotel staff not overly helpful.

Friendly staff but in need of a revamp.
We stayed in two rooms, both were large, long and narrow. The 'city view' is of the street outside and not really of the city therefore all it adds is lots of street noise. The non-city view room had a view of a wall one centimetre from the window and was a little bit quieter. Both rooms were grubby, with stains on the sheets - they smelt clean but had random stained patches. The bathrooms in both rooms were also grubby. The first one had a shower cubicle with what should have been a very nice shower with jets for a body massage. This however was broken with only a shower attachment working. It was also covered in limescale as was the cubicle. The second room had a shower over a bath but this was also rubbish and dirty. Breakfast was not great. It consisted of a crusty baguette with either a triangle of soft cheese, jam or egg washed down with instant coffee and really sweet juice. The location was ok. On the edge of the old city and a ten/fifteen minute walk to the central 'lake'. This hotel could be really good, it just needs redecorating or failing that a decent cleaner!

Good location, friendly staff but dirty bathroom
We stayed here for 2 nights and were warmly welcomed by the lady on reception who seemed to run the hotel; the guys didn't seem quite so efficient. Pleasantly suprised by the size of the room and we were impressed with the cleanliness, size and comfort of the beds. However the bathroom, which needed replacing, was grubby and not terribly pleasant. Our room looked out over a busy street in the old quarter which was noisy at night but did mean we were well located in the thick of Hanoi for exploring! Breakfast was eggs and bread which was all we really needed! If I am really honest, I probably wouldn't stay here again due to the state of the bathroom.

Best hotel staff in Vietnam.
My family and I just returned from a trip to Vietnam. We stayed in 6 different hotels throughout various cities. We all agreed that the staff here was by far our favorite. Each employee there was friendly, accommodating, and honest. Until you've been to Vietnam, you don't realize how rare and important a staff like this is. To come back to your hotel and be greeted with a smile and truly feel welcomed is priceless. We stayed here in 2 rooms for 2 nights, went to Cat Ba for 2 nights, then returned for 1 more night in Hanoi. So we stayed in a total of 4 of their rooms. All the rooms were clean and very big. The craftsmanship in the bathrooms was poor, but everything worked fine. (this was true of every hotel we stayed at, so it wasn't a big deal). More importantly the sheets and towels were all clean. The air conditioners all worked perfect. The beds were comfortable. And they made us breakfast every morning. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a hotel in their price range. Travel tip: Upon request they will provide private transportation to and from the airport for less than you would spend on a taxi.
