Great Hotel
Lovely hotel right on the beach spoiled by building work going on between hotel and beach. Rooms were spacious with a balcony overlooking the ocean and the Palms and Atlantis in the distance. Rooms were very comfortable with complimentary water daily. The buffet breakfast was superb and the staff friendly and attentive. The Japanese Restaurant where we ate on the final night was excellent, not cheap but very good. The Chef on our table was very entertaining and the food cooled to perfection. Lovely relaxing area around the pool. I would recommend this hotel and only marked down slightly because of the building work in front.

The friendliest and most helpful staff ever
We stayed at the Amwaj Rotana Dubai on our return from a visit to Perth WA, to home in England. From the moment we arrived at the Hotel, we couldn't have had a better welcome. All the staff, without exception were friendly, helpful and did everything possible to make our stay perfect.The buffet food for breakfast and dinner was exceptional, along with the service. Large room, great pool, and even though there is a building site between the hotel and the beach, we found this very interesting to watch. There was no noise or dust from the site even.So all in all we had a great time. One tip for travelling in Dubai, Taxis are the best way to get around.

A wonderful experience
This is a good place to stay in dubai, right on the jumeirah beach walk..great restaurants and clubs are just walking distance. Beware of the loud music on the beach. The rooms are fantastic..its the view of the sea and atlantis that got me. wifi is good. The restaurant is also very good, i loved the food here and they have got 2 restaurants and 1 cafe if my memory serves me right. I would highly recommend this place due to the quality of food, ideal location and beach views.

First time in Dubai, great place and great hotel...
We arrived after an overnight flight and although the room was not quite ready we were sat down for a superb breakfast and only had to wait an hour or so to go to the room, on the 19th floor and what a view. Forgetting the building work for one moment, we had a great view of the sea and looked out over the Palm and the wonderful Atlantis Hotel.Final say on building work, it was there, it was occasionally noisy but Dubai is one big building site and it did not spoil the holiday. First day went for afternoon tea at the Burj al Arab (forget the 'expensive' afternoon tea, book it, it will be an afternoon tea experience you will never forget), 2nd day up the Burj Khalifa (book in advance it is cheaper and guaranteed access) and 3rd day on a friends boat sightseeing Dubai from the sea, amazing. Ate and drank at the hotel each night, loved the Italian. Not cheap, but Dubai isn't. Would I stay there again, absolutely - and they spoiled the wife as a birthday treat with chocolate cake and flowers. 3 busy days in Dubai, then on to Maldives (see Meeru review), I want to go back...

Great comfortable rooms, close to the beach although via construction site
I stayed in this hotel for 3 days for business in April. My room was spacious, clean, and with a very nice ocean view. All typical amenities included in the room, everything was working properly, plenty of free bottled water supplied. Good size room balcony. Very large gym with standard and some exotic equipment. Nice pool. Receptionist noticed that it was my birthday during the stay, and it was a nice touch to get a happy birthday greeting from various staff on the day. The breakfast and lunch buffet were excellent. I also ate at the Italian restaurant by the pool, where the chocolate cake made with 8 types of chocolate deserves a special mention.. worth all the calories. Restaurant service was excellent in all restaurants and the beach bar. Downsides: huge construction area between the hotel and the beach does take a bit out of the overall romantic environment... but otherwise construction was harmless.. my colleagues complained that they heard construction noise during the night, but I did not. You have to walk around the construction to get to the beach, which is probably a 3 min detour (about doubles the time of getting to the beach... not a big deal IMHO). I am taking couple of points off also because of the closet door where I nearly chopped my fingers off.. twice... Something wrong with that design.The beach is fantastic, but that has nothing to do with the hotel since the beach is public :)
