Great Pool
We stayed here twice during April / May.The first stay was 5 nights before heading to Blue Lagoon Beach Resort, the second for 2 nights on our return from BLBR.Each time check in was quick and friendly.The rooms were good, but some areas need a refresh.Bathroom areas were good, but some of the doors were a bit tired and sliding doors needing oil / grease.A bathroom door that had a loose hinge was quickly repaired while we were out.The Pool was great.There is a couple of "hot pools" though thew were cold the day we tried.The main pools were warm and deep enough to swim and wade around in.The breakfast buffet had good variety, we had lunch at the Marina each day so can not comment on it.Dinner we ate at Steak House on 4 occasions.The meal and service were excellent.The only negative for me was the lack of "manners" from a wedding party who thought it was OK to smoke at the pools edge and in the pool.If staying at Denarau again I would certainly stay at The Westin again.

Fantastic
My husband and I stayed at the Westin for a week in May 2013,what a wonderful experience.The staff were so friendly,the meals yummy,the room large and spacious,beautiful gardens,very clean and open,nightly entertainment and the array of activities were outstanding.We never left the resort as there were so many activities and the beautiful relaxing pool area to rest and unwind.We did not want to leave so now looking forward to going again next year.

Incredible service, food and rooms
One of the best restaurants and hotels I have stayed in. This was surpassed only by the service; esp in the Steak House restaurant. Incredible! I have not seen staff go to this much trouble in many years. The room and aspect from balcony were fantastic.

A great stay
I had a great time at The Westin Denarau Island - the room was a comfortable size for working and the air-conditioning and amenities all worked well.The staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast buffet was like nothing I have ever seen - we didn't need lunch a single day that we stayed!I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again, and my partner and I look forward to visiting for a getaway!

We had a great time BUT
Fiji is a great destination for a family vacation. The Westin deserves a 4 star rating but only just. The rooms are good, breakfast humungous and great variety and good quality. The pool area is fabulous (plus you can use the Sheraton facilities) and the staff are very personable and willing. But they havent been properly trained and "Fiji time" is used too often as an excuse when it can cause inconvenience. In summary, they underdeliver on service levels and create unachievable expectations. For example: after arrival our bags sat at the hotel entrance for 90 minutes and I had to request them be delivered; when the A/C broke down we had 3 visits from hotel employees and the last said they had arranged for an outsider contractor to come in, but they never made the call so we had no A/C for 18 hours and then had to change rooms. I spoke with the duty manager about our concerns and he promised to take action.
