Okay But Could be Better
We stayed here for four nights. Our room is probably the best one they have, on the third floor with its own rooftop deck and a lovely view of the beach. (There are only two third-floor rooms.) Inside, though, there really is not a window with a great view. This is an old hotel so you have to expect that the rooms will be small and not necessarily laid out well. Also, no elevator so ask for a first floor room if you have mobility problems. The bathroom was large but did not have any shelves or storage spaces for bath items. The bedroom/nook was crowded.The decor was simple but nice. Staff was very friendly. However, service was poor. We had to order ice because the ice machine is not available to guests. (So, there's a monetary tip right there!) Waited at least 10 minutes. Had to make a second call to the front desk to get the ice. Grounds are nice as was the one pool area we used (they have two). Didn't experience a $10 service fee as one reviewer has posted, only a parking fee -- and they do monitor the parking lots. Was impressed that, when I made the reservation, the front desk suggested the third-floor room and made sure it was available. The hotel is in a great location.

Dirty!
This is very straightforward - the room was simply not clean. The room looked nothing like the website. The room was small and old which wasn't that bad, but the fact that the nasty wood floor was filthy and the carpet damp (giving a lovely musty smell upon arrival) was certainly substandard. Let me put it this way - if you took a shower, your feet would end up black by the time you got into your bed! We mentioned these things at the front desk, although no real concern. I suppose the fact that there were odor crystals under the bed says enough.

Charming
We were invited there for a stay with a couple of friends as a gift. a good pick ! Location is very good in front of the ocean .The premises are beautiful , many plants and trees very greeny , Lovely !Rooms are nicely decorated (each room is different and unique ). In case you forgot to bring with you something , all kind of toiletries kits are available in room, really cute but expensive.Sleep quality was good . Breakfast was included and was nice: bagels , pastries , spreads & coffee. nice no need much more than that .Staff is friendly & helpful. Wish we could stay longer.We would love to come back and definitely recommend .

Beware the hidden charges
The room was OK, not great, but the location is great. Upon checkout, there was a $10/day "service fee." I was told that is was for internet, etc. Keep in mind that there is an additional charge for parking. I didn't see the charge mentioned on my reservation confirmation, and it is not mentioned on the website, but I was told that when I checked in I initialed acknowledgement of the charge. Really?

Didn't love it.
The location can't be beat and the staff was very helpful upon check-in, getting our bags to the room and upon check-out. However, I reserved an accessible room and had to ask for a shower bench four times before they brought one to my room. The bathroom wasn't the cleanest and was pretty dated and the bed was pretty uncomfortable. Also, since we were on the bottom floor we had the luxury of hearing everything happening upstairs, and I mean EVERYTHING. But I will say that the wine package that we purchased through the hotel was great and the continental breakfast was far superior than any breakfast I've had in a long time. There were some good things and some bad things, but for the price, I doubt I would stay here again.
