KUDO'S to the entire staff at the Affinia, be proud you are what NY Hospitality is all about!! From the moment I arrived the friendliness and service were top notch. The rooms are very spacious and relaxing...comfy beds and the little extras that make it special. I really enjoyed having a livingroom to relax in after a long day, the little mini-kitchen was a plus for us and our Room Attendant Grayzna hope I spelt that right....made sure we had everything that we needed...dishes...extra towels...etc... The entire staff was very friendly and attentive. I would like to especially thank Anddy Egan-Thorpe for his hospitality and warm friendly service, also Micaela Robertson for helping me out with some ticket problems for a show when I was in a jam...lol also for making sure that we got settled comfortably in our room and to the Doorman who always had a smile for us on the way in or out. We had a great stay and definitely will return. Location is in a very nice quiet area and there are many places for breakfast, lunch, dinner and late night food. Also an awesome tiny coffee shop on the corner called Lucid. We did have a minor snafu with the safe not opening and someone was sent up right away to get it open and replace it. I loved the fact that we could open all the windows a few inches and get a great cross breeze through the whole room. I did happen to dine in the Rare Bar and Grill one night which is located in the Hotel. I had a NY Strip and it was one of the best meals I have ever had....everything cooked to perfection...kudos to the Chef there, I even loved there house made steak sauce and I am very picky so that is saying alot...my steak was pefect and even tho I was full half way through, I had to finish every last bite. This is a terrific place to call home while visiting NYC...it really felt more like home than a hotel. You are all wonderful and I hope to visit and see you again soon, thanks for a wonderful stay on my first trip to NYC!<3

First time in NY and could not have found a better hotel. Check in was smooth and very welcoming , appreciated after a 19 hr flight,m. The view from our room of the empire state building was awesome as was the view from outside the hotel of the Chrysler building a couple of blocks up.. The location was perfect - easy walking distance to Grand Central,Empire Sate Building, Time Square and close by to cafes and restaurants. Staff were always helpful , patient with great senses of humour. The room was lovely , large (studio deluxe) with separate kitchen area and easy to move around bathroom . The bed and choice of pillows ( a menu of pillows) made for a week of uninterrupted sleep as did the hotels location on Lexington Ave . Loved the wine hour the hotel put on in the lounge area as it gave us the chance to meet and chat with other travellers ..Many thanks Affinia for making our stay perfect .

The Affinia was perfectly located for us to easily get to Gramercy Park for dinner, cruise, and comedy show. Also easy to Grand Central Terminal, Times Square, and Theatre district. The Staff at Affinia were efficient, friendly and courteous.. The place was clean and comfortable Would highly recommend.

Having never been to New York, we followed recommendations for this hotel and we were not disappointed.We decided to upgrade to a suite, which was very spacious and came with a massive, very comfy bed!Location wise the hotel is perfect for exploring all New York has to offer, the staff are exceptionally friendly, couldn¿¿¿t do enough to help, whatever you needed.The Rare bar next door, is a brilliant place to eat, the burgers are amazing and choice of drinks are very good also, we would recommend you eat there during your stay.

Have stayed here before, as have friends. This time, I was disappointed with the service. Did not find the front desk overly helpful. Also approached the concierge for a QUICK yes-no question 10 minutes before his shift began, and he told me to come back later. MANY hotels offer FREE wifi in NYC and because I was staying 5 nights I was hopeful that at VERY least I could receive a discount on the daily wifi fees. Nope.While the accommodations were fine and the location IS good, I did not like the service, so honestly would look elsewhere in the future. Not exceptional value for the price when considering the service.
