A lovely setting, would be great with kids!
I stayed here as part of a week-long workshop with a group that pretty much filled the hotel, which operates rather more like a B&B. The food is disappointing (why can't Italians make good bread?!), with unripe fruit served at nearly every breakfast alongside the less healthy mega-carb offerings - not an egg in sight. Although they don't normally offer other meals they organised lunch for our group, which was very basic and repetitive - probably a good thing there's no restaurant there, after all! For those staying under normal conditions, you will have to factor into your budget lunch and dinner in a restaurant, which starts to make the stay in Fiesole rather expensive.The staff were helpful, especially the lovely woman serving breakfast.The pool and both terrace areas are very nice, and taking in the beautiful view and fresh air amongst the cypress trees while listening to birdsong was a relaxing treat.

Ok place in good location
Great location, smallish rooms, not stylish but clean enough. The pool seemed nice. No food served. Personnel was kind. Breakfast was smallish but good. The views were very nice and heterrace spectacular.

Above average villa hotel
Our second stay in as many years. Very nice establishment well situated for visits to Florence. Easy ride to Firenze on the # 7 bus out of Fiesole. Well maintained grounds, beautiful pool / patio area to unwind in the afternoons. Good standard european breakfast, air conditioning seemed better this year. A car is necessary as the walk to Fiesole is a little dicey. Moto GP fans note: An easy 30 minute drive to the Mugello track on some cool roads from the hotel is a plus. Might have gotten off on the wrong foot last year with the management & air conditioning issues ( read last years review ). if you are planning a trip with activities in the area don't hesitate to stay here & say hi to the director for me!

Quiet hotel/villa
A nice villa type resort. No extra frills but nice surroundings. Beautiful pool and patio area, standard european breakfast. Air conditioning not so good, were told upon checkin that it was turned off at midnight ????. We requested that ours stay on at night & were told they would leave a note for the Director. Our air conditioner ran all night but the output was miminal by morning. If a few little things were attended to this could be a REALLY nice place to stay. Girl that attended the breakfast room was exceptionally nice, other staff not so much, not sure if the Director was upset with our airconditiong request but was not that congenial. SMILE once & a while, its really not that hard.

Great value, beautiful location and surroundings
We stayed at this hotel in October 2008. If you are going without a car, the bus truly stops in front of the hotel. In some other reviews I read this is not true. This bus takes you to the center of Fiesole, where you just hop on to the bus to Florence city. You need just one ticket to Florence, its 2 EUR and the ride is about 20/25 minutes alltogether. Also, I read here that the 'last part of the road is gravel'. True. But not the last part of the ROAD, but the pathway from the road to the hotel, which is about 5-8 meters, is gravel! With parking for cars provided. We went by car and have to tell you that the GPS sent us through a lovely hillside with villas and castles around Florence, but completely the wrong way, and in the hotel we were informed that most GPS systems do that. So please ask for directions on your way before leaving the highway or similar. The hotel is lovely, very quiet. The staff is friendly, and quite helpful. The breakfast is poor, but I've seen it worse in Italy. The nature and the view are beautiful, so is Fiesole itself. If you go to the Barberino Outlet, take the country road (the receptionist will explain), its worth it! The photos on the official presentation are candid enough. I'd even say that the beauty of the view and the nature cannot be captured.
