Panwa Beach Resort Revisited
My wife & I have just returned to the UK after our second visit to this hotel . Once again we had a wonderful time and were well looked after . On arrival we found our room had been upgraded , a few steps to climb but well worth the effort . The room was very well presented with a large bathroom and spacious lounge area but the real gem was the balcony with spectacular views across Chalong Bay and "Big Buddha" in the distance .The breakfast buffet was very enjoyable and seemed to cater for most people's tastes . The swimming pool has a beautiful setting, overlooking the sea and is great for adults and children , as for swimming in the sea we found the "best times to swim" chart in our room very helpful as the beach rocks are exposed at low tide .Happy Hour Evening Cocktails were enjoyed on the terrace and even enjoyed in the lounge when it rained big time ! The evening meals served were delicious and also enjoyed by our Thai family who came to visit , however may I point out that your cuttlery may look stylish but the knives don't work !

Fabulous relaxing break
A perfect resort for enjoying spectacular views, accommodating staff and delicious food. The hotel was very helpful in providing last minute bookings for my family to visit and spend 2 poolside and beach fun-packed days. Our own room was spacious and well equipped. We only spent a few days here o this visit but will certainly be booking a longer break next time!

Peaceful, well staffed and relaxing.
Stayed here last few days of April first few days of may, lovely place, staff outstanding, breakfast buffet good, easy stroll along beach, maybe 100 meters, good typical Thai beach restaurants, dinner/ lunch with drinks was less than ¿¿20 for two of us. Gem of a place. It is worth renting a moped ¿¿20 for 4 days, there is lots to do without driving on busy roads!

Disappointing for honeymoon :(
Arrived late at night and everything seemed great, welcoming staff and charming location. We had paid for garden deluxe and were told at check in we had been given upgrade and free wifi. Very nice. When we arrived at room we were a tad disappointed, firstly they knew we were in honeymoon yet there was no welcome package etc as shown on review picture....no matter. Then the room itself was nice for a standard but I was very unhappy with the claim it was beyond a deluxe that we had booked, it looked similar to pictures but the glamour and luxury was missing. There was a wet room but no bath etc (personal choice) no sense of luxury at all!!! So after a good nights rest as its very peaceful we commenced our honeymoon. So....breakfast is stated to be America. My hopes were dashed when it was sadly far from it. Hotdog sausages, bacon. Rice and pastries :( so basically I lived in scrambled eggs and toast! We only ate here as we had it paid in booking. We tried dinner several times but found it overpriced and empty leading to sad atmosphere. We learnt that there are 2 further beach restaurants along the water - better and cheaper (although I got food poisoning from one on my 2nd week) be careful!!The sunset bar was permanently closed and coco beach I had to hunt for staff as they were always away playing ping pong etc! I feel that because it was quiet and off season we didn't get the same service. Sadly we won't be back not only due to this but other tiny things like: I believe the hotel is changing hands and the new management were overseeing things! Well all they did was stare at us, at meals, at reception, was very off putting!Also the hotel is tucked away and it is a luxury but the shuttle buses are pricy and the taxi service they use useless and overpriced! We got friendly with a town driver and used him for 2 weeks at about ¿¿5 a day! Service at hotel want ¿¿7 one way trip!!!Lastly don't come here to snorkel, the water isn't dazzling turquoise, no fish (apart from jelly fish - got stung 2nd week) live here. Very rocky and that mud you feel further out??? Ain't mud it's sewage! Yup there is sewage works close by pumping the crap into the water - needless to say we stuck to pool!!!

Lovely hotel in quiet spot
We stayed here at the end of a 4 week holiday touring Thailand,Malaysia and Singapore ,it is quiet but is a really lovely spot.The main reception and pool areas are excellent,the rooms are slightly older but still good and have nice views.We did see other reviews before we booked about the beach at low tide and it is a bit rocky then although there seemed to be a big range of tides when we were there and at other destinations,but we wouldn't be put off staying there again as the pool are is so nice,and fro the rest of the day the tide is in and the beach is lovely.The staff there were all extremely friendly and helpful and this seemed one of the nicer places to stay in Phuket
