Excellent location within walking distance of lots of good resteraunts. Good views of the Singapore river - ask for a river view room if available.Rooms clean and tidy. Long "happy hour" in the Jade Lounge, it was 2-9 when I was there.

Nice facade but worn down rooms...
Stayed a couple of nights at this hotel with small child. Made a late booking and asked for a double bed but when checking in they were gone. Were upgraded to executive smoking floor with queen bed. The room was quite small and it had seen better days... Mold in the bathroom wasn't what I've expected from an exec room. I read that they are renovating the rooms at the moment so when the renovation is completed I think this hotel would score better. The location is great, right by Robertson Quey, close to Clark Quey.

As its name suggests, a fine hotel at the river
During a recent business trip, I spent nine days at this hotel.It is well located. One can stroll or jog along the river in a safe, clean walk, along several caf¿¿s or restaurants, following the river.The Hotel itself has a good restaurant; its terrace offers a riverview.A tip: Ask for the special rooms that allow the use of the business center and its free drinks and snacks; they offered also free laundry of two clothes per day.I found the breakfast buffet interesting. It was a mixture of western and oriental food, truly international.The staff was friendly and helpful.Put altogether, my stay at this hotel was worth its price.¿¿¿

This was very pleasent hotel on the canal Side and very near hundreds if very nice resturants, Bars etc,.The Hotel Staff are pleasent. Price reasonableOnly fall down is the lack of friendliness or assisatnce in the main Dinning room. When the say self service they really mean it

Good property in the town
Thanks to a delayed KL-SIN flight, we missed our connection home and that took us to the Riverview courtesy Singapore Airlines. The Hotel is pretty good and is at the center of the town. Took us about half hour to reach from the airport. The receptionist did their best in getting us the best of the rooms as required by us. The rooms were pretty large, however, old. They had left a sign that they are renovating and am sure this would only help improve the property.The restaurant was not welcoming, as the staff were pretty unfriendly and looked at us as aliens as probably we were not paying and were on coupons. We had to repeatedly request for some drinking water. A touch of attitude would help them. Food spread was ordinary, however, whatever they had was good.Did not use much of their other facilities to comment.
