Nice clean hotel - as you would expect from the chain
Stayed here for 4 nights for work reasons. Nice, clean hotel with good food and comfy beds. Service at meals very slow and generally a cause for hilarity,however we were a large party. Excellent reaction one morning when we had concerns for the safety of a colleague who had not showed up for breakfast - thank you. Reception often very busy with delays due to only one person working at busy checkout times. Excellant shuttle bus service to Brent Cross tube station. Adjacent to busy roads but this did not cause me any problems sleeping. Ideally situated for Brent Cross Shopping Centre and close to Wembly.

Nice hotel let down by one thing
Stayed here for one night for the FA cup final. I use Holiday Inn a lot hence was booked with points. No complaints with hotel itself, rooms comfy, clean and spacious. We ate lunch at the hotel which was decent if not a little pricey but that's hotels. The real gripe was coming back from the game, we got back around 11pm and as my son and his friend were hungry, we asked for a menu and was told by a very dour man in a black suit and tie who looked like he was the bar manager that we could have nothing but the 24 hour options. He seemed to be annoyed we'd even asked to be honest. Putting the attitude aside we asked for beans on toast and cheese on toast (both ¿¿4.95!!!) We then waited over 40 minutes at which point we were told that the chef had gone home and dour man was making it. Did worry me as I had complained to reception about his atrocious attitude and customer service, which I'd never experienced at a holiday inn before. When it did arrive it looked like it had been prepared by a 5 year old. It was only the fact the boys were hungry we didn't send it back.A real shame as the hotel is great (hence the rating) if you want to be close to Wembley or for shopping. However, for me, it's just the memory of someone who didn't seem to give a toss that stays with you. By all means stay here, just don't order late evening food from a grumpy employee!

Service beyond expectation
Given a room upon check-in but had to move the next day after realizing carpet in front of bathroom was soaking wet.Moved to a different room the next day for two nights and was advised to move to another room for a second time as shower not functioning properly although we did not request for one.Caring management and making sure we were comfortable.Breakfast was superb. Apparently they were voted "Best breakfast" by IHG Group, I believe. Also TV programs extensive albeit no free internet.Staff were exceptionally friendly and I have to mention them here - Ms Magda, Ms Beata and Mr Frank.I am recommending my daughter to stay at the same hotel when they visit London in September 2013. I would also stay here on my next visit.Thank you guys. Keep up the good work.

Decent Hotel in North London
I stayed in this hotel a week after London Marathon. I found no hotel in central London and I decided to stay in this N London Hotel. It took me almost 2 hours from Heathrow to this hotel. It such a long journey and I thought I made a mistake. After I checkin and staffs are helpful and they said the hotel was fully booked for the entire week. London transport is expensive and we bought an Oyster card and prepare a long walk to the tube station. We asked the concierge about the tube station and found out there is a minibus shuttle to/from the tube station every 15 mins. Wow, it made us very happy although it still took 35 mins journey to the central London. If I couldn't find hotel in central Lon next time, I will be happy to stay again in this hotel.

generally very good, a few minor niggles
I have as a business user stayed at loads of IHG hotels and this one once before. My stay was for 5 nights as a Gold Card member. This was recognised with a move to a better room which was nice, shame the complimentary newspapers never materialised. 5 nights is a long stay on business so you really get to know a hotel.The pick-up from the tube station is an excellent service and the drivers were always polite and friendly. We as a group ate here every night of our stay. The food quality is good and compared to other hotels I have stayed in is reasonably priced. My only comment here was it took too long to actually get our food. However the staff were very friendly and well organised. Breakfast was a highlight, slick and no messing about, as a business user you need to get out asap sometimes.I did the walk across to the shopping centre just to get cash, the prospect of being charged ¿¿1.75 to use the one in the hotel goes against my principles. Equally I know this is a hotel group policy but when are IHG going to wake up and realise guests expect free WIFI in this day and age, it s a std/free service in many other hotes!, even if it was only for Priority Club members...please feed this back. Even premier In give you 30 mins free which is ideal to check emailsGood lifts, I mention this as another IHG hotel I stayed in in London recently did not have enough lifts for the number of guests, chaos reigned.Apart from the hotel there isn't much else around here.
