Staff great, maintenance and housekeeping lacking
Breakfast poor, maintenance - toilet seat loose, water faucets backwards in sink and loose, halls dirty, room had same dirt and spots in bathroom upon departure as on arrival. Coffee pot in room had to be moved to a three way plug in bathroom, not safe. Desk clerks were very helpful and pleasant to deal with. Jay was very helpful and went out of his way to help with any problems we had.

Let me say hotel is very average but nice enough for the price. It is a 1 mile walk to the gates of Universal, not bad in the morning but hot in the afternoon. Did catch the free shuttle at the hotel next door the last morning we were there and it only runs at 8:45am and 7:30pm. The front desk people are very nice and the breakfast is good as long as you get there before 7:30am. The girl that takes care of it during the week is very helpful but the little gestapo lady on Saturday made sure we stopped eating right at 9:00am when the breakfast hours closed. Again I was OK with the hotel, on a very tight budget and served it's purpose clean comfortable beds and good hot water pressure from shower and it had both.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights - very close to Universal Studios and guests can walk over to the park - I have two small children and so it's not a close walk - at least 1 mile away. The Front Desk clerk was friendly and the room was clean. It had a microwave which was very helpful.

It's a ok hotel, close to Universal Studios.... You get...
It's a ok hotel, close to Universal Studios.... You get what you pay for. Night front desk guy Jay was very nice... The morning front desk guy was not. Also he told me there is not shuttle to the airport and that I have to pay $60 for a taxi... Lucky for me I did my research and found super shuttle for $16 a person for 2 ppl.
