Loved this hotel!!
We spent five nights here while visiting our daughter who is studying in Wellington this term. Our suite was great: super comfortable king bed, separate sitting/kitchenette area, large modern bath. Convenient to everything we wanted to visit. When we discovered the washer/dryer we were in heaven. Most of the staff were very friendly and eager to help. The valet parking turned out to be a godsend in Wellington and well worth the cost.

Lovely stay in Wellington
This hotel has a great location. Room very spacious. Had an apartment style room with fullKitchen and washer/dryer, which was very convenient. Bed was comfortable. Only complaint was that WIFI did not reach into my room and needed to use in the lobby.

nice suite
We were in a 1 bedroom suite, had a galley kitchen, with a large bathroom. Couldn't ask for a better room. The resturant had good food, but one night our waiter was great, made this dinner even better. Close to the train station, and Government Buildings. Easy to walk around. Not sure were the car went, as it was parked by them, but I think that tiny car elevator took it away. ;-). Would stay there again.

Perfect for a quick overnight stay
Stayed here as it's as close as you can get to many of the Government offices in Wellington. It market's itself as a 5* luxury hotel. I don't know that I'd go that far, but it is an excellent city hotel. My room - 307a - was very comfortable and superbly appointed, though somewhat compact. I did to wonder how my 6ft4' husband would have coped in a room where I could easily touch the ceiling (I'm only 5ft6')! I certainly appreciated the free wifi, and really liked the hotel information book too - a nice change to the usual dilapidated ring binder I now expect. And a decent room service menu to boot!The hotel staff were also fantastic. When I commented on check-in that I was disappointed to have found the room rate cheaper on Wotif than the hotel's own site, I was advised that I should have phoned to get the best deal. Definitely a note to self for the future.I've stayed in Wellington a few times, and would definitely rate the Bolton highly for room and service. Location was excellent for this visit, but in the cold and rainy winter, it's a bit of a trek to Courtney Place for restaurants etc. Would definitely make this a first choice if visiting Wellington for Ministry meetings.

Well appointed room
Stayed in the Bolton Hotel on two separate occasions and found the staff very friendly and keep to help. The room was very spacious with a separate bedroom to the living area. It has a mini kitchen which is really good when you just want to warm up a take away meal. Love the gym and swimming pool.
