Heartland Cotswold - comfortable, central & always friendly
This Hotel has become my home away from home now that I have regular work requirements in Christchurch.I tried a few before finding the Cotswold on Papanui Rd & this is it for me.Excellent roomsGreat value for money (& Rewards Points to grab the odd free night ¿¿¿ !!)Friendly & professional staffA very good menu A short walk to Merivale bars and restaurants or into the City.I like the house (pub style) bar & its lounge is set up to do business with a quite seated area.Takes CRT card which is handy

my beautiful start..to my NZ adventure
this was our first hotel in the many list of our NZ adventure..and it was a fantastic and beautiful start. the cottage like hotel was absolutely warm despite the rainy and cold weather. the rooms were large and absolutely clean and neat. their breakfast was delicious especially their warm pancakes. loved every bit of our stay there.

A Tudor style hotel in the Cotswold mould - large rooms clean & tidy with all the usual amenities in a hotel of this calibre - The reception / restaurant staff l met were helpful. Nearby are plenty of shops and restaurants with the city centre park is a short walk away, unlike several hotelsthere is no discernible damage from the recent earthquake.

Nice place and location
Ideal stop over close to local pubs and restaurants and able to walk into the cbd area or what's left. .close to airport with on site free parking and reasonable priced wifi. Room was good size and separate bedroom. Laundrette on site takes tokens from reception. Look out for the heartland sign if your driving yourself as the Cotswold sign is smaller and easy to miss

Decent sized room but the rest is very average
Centrally located. Room was large with separate bedroom and a kitchenette. Bathroom has a very small stall shower. Most fixtures quite dated. Unique exterior. Not many other amenities, no A/C. Not cheap. Staff was friendly.
