Splendid Luxury
Splendid luxury. We stayed one night before an early departure. Upon checking in we received a couple of free drink vouchers for the hotel bar (which also has free wifi) so in the evening we had a glass of wine and caught up on e-mails, facebook etc. The rooms are lovely, you get a turn down service, and immaculately clean.

Perfect for transiting through Christchurch
We chose this hotel for a night in Christchurch which we used as our starting point to explore the South Island. It was perfect--very close to the airport, top-notch accommodation, and reasonably priced. My favorite aspect is the layout of the room, which is very efficient. It's not a huge room, but even when there's three or four of you, there's lots of space to move around and there's space for everyone's bags. The room itself feels very new. Clean and comfortable. The restaurant's okay. I made the mistake of ordering the nachos (one of the few vegetarian items on the list) and they don't make them like you know nachos. My family enjoyed their food though. There's al fresco space which seemed like a nice spot to hang out for a drink in cool weather. No, there's no free wifi, but I've learned that that doesn't come standard in hotels in New Zealand.

Perfect for airport stay
If you have a stopover for a night or even 2-3 days then this place is perfect. I stayed in the new wing which was really nice - good sized room, little desk, good tv and decent bed and bathroom.You have to pay for wi-fi which I always find annoying but the pool is good and the restaurant fairly decent.It does the trick!

Good size rooms, no free wifi, handy location
Best thing was size of room and the wonderful older driver/porter who took me to airport on free shuttle; he is a real asset to the hotel especially after the appalling check-in service we had the day before. Slow, and sloppy and once key card handed over no guidance on how to find our room in this rabbit warren. My business collegues and I stumbled up and down hall ways lost fot too long! Not a good start to our stay when one is tired after long day! Suggest it is ALWAYS part of key handover - ie which direction to head if you are placed miles away on ground floor!Got a free drink voucher which remained UNUSED all i wanted was free wifi but there was none. Hotels MUST get over eye gouging for wifi; make it standard part or even one hour free.
