Excellent for those wanting close to Vector Arena
We stayed here for 2 nights while husband and son went to the Black Sabbath concert. Had a room on the 7th floor. Room nice and tidy and clean. Bathroom outstanding with bright lighting, usual shampoo, conditioner, etc. TV reception great with Sky on the channels. A bit out of the CBD but within 10 mins walking distance to Britomart, etc. There is a wee pathway down to the Vector Arena that takes you right to the venue. Parking limited and they charge you $10 a day which isn't so bad. We ended up leaving the vehicle there and walking into the CBD as you didn't know whether you would find a free park when you got back. We meant to be a 2 double bedroom but one of the beds was just a bit bigger than a king single (def not a double) but that was okay as we only had 2 adults and 1 child. Didn't eat at the restaurant but menu extensive and tempting. Would recommend this hotel for those in Auckland for concerts at the Vector Arena.

great staff
We stayed for two nights I booked online got a good deal for location etc in Auckland and parking was cheap. We found the staff lovely, we ate in the restaurant one night which was well priced and very nice, the room on the 5th floor was average but comfortable, bed was good, air con could only be used when you weren't sleeping - too noisey the fridge was noisey too but not the worst I've experienced.The big downside was the noise in the hallways at 4am on both nights we stayed- while the rooms appear quite insulated from noise between each other they definately aren't from the hallways- seriously sounded like people were standing in our room yelling etc.Not something we anticipated and staff were very apologetic, but not sure if i would stay again.

Great Value for those wanting to be near Vector Arena
this small hotel is very convenient for events at Vector arena, there is even a set of steps at the side of the hotel leading down to Beach street and then the arena, so in easy walking distance. Centrally placed and handy for may of the good restaurants in the area. The hotel have the best reception staff I have met in a very long time, I thought for a moment I might be back in Thailand, they were so welcoming and helpful all the time. the rooms are small and nothing special but they are clean and comfortable and reasonably priced. Breakfast could have been a lot better, food held a tepid and the welcome into the restaurant was nothing special. It's actually quite quiet in this part of Auckland so sleeping was not a problem (it can be in the centre with drunken revellers partying till the early hours) We had a room at the back of the property overlooking a small park. Highly recommended for a short stay.

Is it a 4-star hotel?
Attending an event in Massion Bay was the main reason of choosing this hotel.I was checked in by a friendly and helpful receptionist but behind the counter, the face of a female duty manager (or Front office manger) didn¿¿¿t show welcome (eyes contacted only). Lobby was a little bit dirty, tag and rubbish on the ground.The room really needs to be refurbished, both air conditioning & fridge were noisy. It didn¿¿¿t match its star rating. A dirty room service tray from next door has been placing for 3 hours, from 6:30 ¿¿¿ 9:45pm and the hallway smelled of the cooked food.
