Nicest Hotel stay I've had in a while
Great hotel, very friendly and courteous staff, felt very welcomed. Close to the top part of Queen Street - so great for events in the Aotea Centre. Well worth the money, breakfast superb. Couldn't ask for anything more! Will definitely stay again.

A hidden gem in the city
I love this hotel! It was our first time to check in at this hotel. All i can say is, "never judge the book by its cover" Average look outside but very nice, modern and very comfy room! I love the fact that it has an indoor pool, i have stayed at langham hotel and other 5 star hotels before but will definitely go back here! As a matter of fact just booked us a room for next month :)

A bit of luxury with easy access to all the shows
Huge bathtub! We stayed in a room with two double beds at the Regency Grand and were impressed with the comfortable and modern accommodations for a modest price. Even better was that the hotel is a right near all the venues for the Comedy Festival shows and short walk to the Sky City movie theatre. The hotel restaurant has a pretty good buffet breakfast, but I recommend buying your room and breakfast with one of their special deals instead of paying another $30/person for breakfast. The bathtub has a shower head, and there is a full shower in the bathroom as well as all the amenities, including shower cap, makeup pads, and a sewing kit, which I used to sew on a button. They even have separate shampoo and conditioner, soap bars and liquid soap. I tend to be impressed with little things like that. Overall, this was a great place to stay.

Nice, but have had better
Room was tidy with 2 double beds (no king) no knives or forks so had to cut a chicken with a spoon :/ and eat off tiny teacup plates. No view- all you can see is the side of the building and the window opens an inch. Decent sized tv and the staff were great. Little disappointed
