Pleasnt Stay
I had a very short stay at IBIS, it was an enjoyable stay. I was at floor 14 so enjoyed the top view looking around the city especially on a foggy morning it is so beautiful. The toilet and bathroom looked clean, the table and other amenities were adequate. The bed and the lamps around it was really good. It was a small but a nice room. The morning breakfast was delicious with lot of variety, I enjoyed it. Other than that there was free internet, the staff also helped me to take some print outs, the staff were friendly. The safety locker was also useful. There wasn't room service or a restaurant in the hotel but considering it was in the middle of the city with so many restaurants around that is not something to be complained. There wasn't any moisturizing cream/ lotion or mouth wash in the bathroom, most big hotels have them especially the ones in cold places, so now I know that I should carry my own when I stay there again :)On the whole I enjoyed my stay in IBIS

Great location at a reasonable price
Location is fantastic, right in the city. You can get to Chinatown or Town hall easily. The air-conditioning in the room is fixed at 21 degrees Celsius which was not very warm for cold nights. Friendly staff.

Pleasantly surprised. Position..position!
The Ibis is a "budget" hotel in the Accor group. We flew into Sydney Airport and caught the most excellent train there, alighting at the "Museum" station. It is a short walk of around 400 meters to the World Square Ibis in Pitt St. We were received by a welcoming reception team. A smallish but well appointed room was allocated to my wife and I on the 12th Floor. The Queen bed was comfortable (we have a quality bed at home) and a quality 32 inch flat screen on the wall with clear Free to Air and pay movies on demand. Iron and ironing board in the small wardrobe. Quality tea and coffee provided daily as required. Bathroom (shower and toilet) was small but OK for us. Spotless and the best soaps and shampoos/cond etc on the vanity and replenished daily..Daikin Air-cond was set at 21C and was quiet and efficient. The best "light block-out blinds we have seen in any hotel!This Ibis is absolute CBD and you are in the heart of Sydney. Great shopping and eateries at reasonable prices everywhere and a quick cut- through to George St and the free Green bus 555 to Circular Quay etc.So much to do and a niuce hotel to come home to after tramping and sightseeing!We are "Loyalty" members of Accor and benefit from frequent offers like "pay for 2 nights and stay for 3". Saturday nights attract a higher rate in most hotels. We stayed for 4 nights.We enjoyed a smile from receptionists on duty when we came and went and the manager is to be congratulated!A tip..if you are a light sleeper request a room on the upper floors, or an inner facing room. Pitt St is a fairly lively street in Sydney, day.and night That was the attraction to us!

Very basic, small rooms
I shared a twin room with a friend, the room was so small we were almost on top of each other. Very much a budget hotel. Location was good. Hotel reception staff were fantastic. Very helpful, always friendly and smiling. Rooms clean, beds comfy, hotel corridors could do with a lick of fresh paint.

Convenience, Comfort and Affordable with Great City Location
We had a great stay in this clean and comfortable city hotel. Best thing about this hotel is the location in World Square. Close to Darling Harbour, Chinatown, Haymarket, Australian Museum, Powerhouse Museum and a 20 min walk to Circular Quay. Food choices are superb in World Square with a smorgesboard of Asian Cuisine and prices that make eating all the more enjoyable.
