We arrived and could not get into our room. There is no where on the web site does it state check in / check out times. We were told to store our luggage, which we dis. We were told to come back in an hour and our room still was not ready. We eventually complained and were upgraded to an ocean view room on the 33rd floor. Our room was excellent and the view fantastic. It was all very clean and comfortable

Tired
Stayed here as part of a free 'mystery holiday' so can't comment on value for money but wouldn't come back regardless. Negatives: The room (and in fact, entire floor) smells of smoke, the small fatback tv was black and white and the whole place generally looks like it hasn't been touched since it was built probably in the 70s. Positives: other than the smoke, the room was clean, free car parking, centrally located.Good for schoolies but wouldn't recommend otherwise.

A room with zero light fittings
Arrived for a four-day package holiday. After a wait for anyone to appear at reception our welcoming bottle of warm wine was issued. No breakfast details appear in booking. Our room had absolutely no light fitting or bedside lamps. We had just one dim standard lamp. To read anything I had to take the one hardback chair into the bathroom. The toilet would not stop flushing and the aircon started whining after one day. Also no compendium in room so had to ask reception for things like which floor is the dining room located on, how to get to the pool and gym and where are the towels? The room did have two light switches not connected to anything. Had to request a second standard lamp the next morning.Made to feel like second class citizens. Jenemgee

great place for a conference
Stayed for 4 nights while attending a conference held in the hotel. Rooms dated but everything worked. Balcony a plus , pity about the noise in the street below ! Lots of hot water ,brand new iron and board that opened without jamming my finger! No plates or cutlery just 2 mugs 2 wine glasses and electric jug. Had breakfast in room 1 morning , enough for 2 . Catering at conference fabulous plenty to eat good range , well presented.

Nice hotel in great location
We stayed here for 1 night and really enjoyed our stay. The room was very spacious and very clean. We were on the 35th floor and had great views of surfers paradise. The hotel is in a great location for the beach, bars and restaurants. I would recommend this hotel and would certainly return to this hotel if we returned to Surfers paradise.
