Good but.....
Good location, good room & bed, good value, however, sometimes it's the little things that spoil it for you! Asked if they could replace two globes in the room (especially the one over the basin in the bathroom so I could see to do makeup) and while we received plenty of assurances from them, the globes were never replaced. Just a small thing but it leaves a sour taste...Hard to find good food around the immediate area.

Good hotel
A one night stay, last minute decision to stay in the city, good price, great location, overall a very good room for the price.We got a better price booking online than was offered when we rang the hotel a saving of over $20 for the night, I think that is crazy allowing a third party provider to sell a room at a cheaper price than the hotel can and then they have to pay a commission to that provided, we told reception the price over the phone that we saw on the website and were happy to book direct with them if they matched the price to save them paying commission, the girl said she was not allowed to match prices.Also on the hotel website it states $10 for parking, when I rang the hotel they quoted $15 and when I said about it only being $10 on there website the girl said it would still be $15 and she would have the website updated. On arrival at the hotel a different staff member adjusted the charge to $10 for parking, which was the right thing to do.The number one hint for this hotel, make sure you look at other booking sites before you book direct with them it will save you money.

Excellent......and very rare
I have travelled extensively and stayed in many hotels and I can't honestly fault this one unless I was really picky. Most impressive was this hotel LISTENED to my request and met it. Very close to transport including airport transfers, walk to downtown, close to Victoria markets and oulet centres and close to supermarket. And very pleasant staff.

Great!
The room with a double queen was great! The staff at reception were extremely helpful from booking to checking out which was seamless. Being close to Southern cross station makes Melbourne CBD and greater Melbourne highly accessible. Very clean and tidy with great views. You get what you pay for, simply excellent highly recommend!

Great Location
Great location for interstate travellers coming to Etihad to watch the footy. Easy bus from Airport to Southern Cross Station, then 5 minute walk to the hotel. Next to free tram that circles the city, which you can hop on and off. Very comfy bed, with a very nice bathroom, very large shower but a basic room (which was fine to watch tv in bed!) Very nice breakfast with many options.
