My wife & grandson joined me @ another stay from May 31 to June 6th and thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Steven and Daryle @ the bell desk greeted us with smiles and promptly unloaded our suitcases from our taxi. Yoko and Hazell greeted us with beaming smiles and were able to promptly get us a room on the 21st floor....I always make a habit of getting higher floors because it's generally quieter unless you face the International Market Place, there's a bar there with a live band which filters into your room but only if you are aware of it, it's quickly drowned out with the TV on!Our room was spotless, water pressure more than adequate, room comes with safe, microwave, fridge....we opted for 2 double beds, more than sufficient! Our room is part of the newly renovated portion of the hotel and quite nice. Our housekeeper was excellent, efficient, smiling and always asking if we needed any help or towels...thanks Lilia for adding to a wonderful stay!Being that we have stayed @ the Miramar many times they considered us "Ohana" and sent a box of chocolates to our room......a thoughtful gesture greatly appreciated on our fist day. We did most of our shopping nearby and @ Ala Moana & the hotel's location is central to shops/eateries/beach in Waikiki & a crucial consideration in why we continue to stay @ the Miramar.....it is also very safe and we've never had any problems over the years except the odd noisy party during Xmas but that's no fault of the hotel.The hotel itself has Sammy's Restaurant on the 5th floor which features a wonderful all-you-can-eat buffet for under $20.00 and offers quite a wide range of choices to satisfy any palate. It also features Korean fare (Mikawon.. downstairs) as well as Chinese food (Fatty's Chinese Kitchen.....downstairs also) but if you want a wider range of food, there's the Food Court just outside the lobby which offers Filipino,Thai, American, Korean, Chinese as well as shave ice, smoothies, ice cream and anything else your tummy craves. Also in the lobby is a small eatery which has healthy smoothies, ice cakes, sandwiches, killer beef curry, spaghetti, etc...! Just a step outside of the lobby puts you into International Market Place where a plethora of vendors hawk everything from gold to T-shirts and well worth the experience!Of course....the overall experience wouldn't be complete without the smiles and warmth the staff always show whenever we cruise through the lobby! Thank you Yoko, Amy, Hazell, Richard, Steven, Darryl, Peter, Lilia and everyone else I may have missed. I guarantee......we will be back!! Malhalo nui loa and a hui hou kakou!

Not too much wrong with this property. It is very central and staff were adequate. If there was one thing negative about this hotel, it would be the fact that there was no fitness centre on site. I have stayed across the road at Ohana West and, if given the choice, would stay there again. It just seems more intimate, with a fitness centre!

Loved being on the 19th floor and able to have the door open and air-con. off as my husband was sick due to air-conditioning on the ship that we'd been on. The beds were comfortable and the staff were great. Many thanks to Jin who fixed up our mistake when we missed the bus for one of our tours. It is centrally located and were able to walk across the road and buy a few of our meals to have in our room especially after a long day. Nothing was too much trouble and they arranged everything, including our taxi to the airport to fly home. We are going back and will be staying at the Miramar. I also wanted views of the ocean, which I got and it was beautiful.

We flew in for 5 nights. When I arrived at noon the room wasn't ready but they held my bags and rushed the room so I could get in. The room wasn't huge, but was clean, comfortable and suited our needs perfectly. When we needed extra supplies, like towels, they were brought up straight away. They location was ideal. A quick 5 minute walk to the beach and shopping and it is surrounded by a variety of places to shop and eat as well. Just outside the lobby door is the International Marketplace. It was so convenient to pick up gifts for family and friends. The staff was friendly and polite. I would stay here again any time and would highly recommend it to my friends.

We arrived at Miramar hotel after a 10hr flight from Australia with a party of 2 adults and 2 children at 11am. We were told that our room would not be available until 3pm and that was fine so we spent our time waiting around the pool area. When our room was available, my 12yr old wanted a shower, well...the water taps were awful! The temperature went from freezing cold to boiling hot and she burnt herself! A plumber was sent to our room to try and fix it, but it didn't work! Baths for the rest of our holiday..hmmm! If you are a smoker, then be aware! You have to take the lift to level 5...The pool and bar area!! Yes, this is where the drunks are! My 12yr old and I went to level 5 one night only to find a man urinating against the hotel wall, Bar staff swearing and a whole lot of drunk people! I did make a complaint to the front desk telling them that I did not find it appropriate for my daughter to see drunks urinating on wall and all the fowl language! The staff shrugged his shoulders and told me to write it on trip adviser! The rooms were cleaned every day which was great! We loved Hawaii, but would never stay at the Miramar again!
