Warm cookies are always a bonus. And plan on using the bowling alley also. It was nice just being so close and walking everywhere

Simple and Relaxing
This place was wonderfully situated for a peaceful weekend getaway. We visited in the fall, after most of the tourists left and were able to enjoy a pleasant Santa Cruz weekend. The convenience of walking out along the cliffs and to the pier to eat as well as downtown made this a perfect location. The room was simple and tidy, but relaxing and did the trick to help us unwind.

Seek shelter elsewhere!
On our way down to San Diego from San Francisco we stayed in a few hotels, this one was NOT on our list of repeats. To tell you the truth, we didn't even end up staying there the night. We had booked this location the day before as a last minute kind on plan. When we arrived we were told our room was not ready because the cleaning crew had left without finishing the rooms that were vacant, awesome. Then upon looking around we noticed how gross the place actually was and started to get a little put off (mouse traps everywhere and a general state of disarray). When we were finally given a room when we entered we found that, surprise, the room wasn't clean. After a long day of hiking I was getting a little upset and decided to cancel the reservation and look elsewhere. Even when cancelling our reservation the clerk (late teens early twenties) admitted that it would be a good idea not to stay there.Great location but not worth the gross factor!

Service?
We are staying here 2 nights Memorial Day weekend. Great location steps from the beach. My son lost a dollar in the vending machine buying water. We asked at the desk...uninterested desk clerk gave us a dollar and said we could buy water 2 blocks down at the liquor store. After returning to the room the 2nd evening after being out all day, we came to our room which hadn'tbeen cleaned. I called the desk to ask ... Man said,"Yea, we were busy today." I asked for towels ... he said he would bring us some after he did some laundry. Our room was just over $200 a night ... not $60. Stay here if you need a small room close to the beach, but don't need any service.

Quick Stay
What a great location. Had a quick overnight to Santa Cruz and being by the boardwalk was perfect. Hotel is modest, but adequate and didnt have any problems. I was worried about the potential noise but didnt find anything to complain about. Would stay again in the future.
