Don't stay at this casino
We checked in for one NIGHT. Our room was not ready when we checked in. When we checked in the matters pad was soiled with BLOOD stain. We asked to get moved. When we checked into that room, it had not been vacuumed. That room had dead roach and crickets. It is a very filthy hotel. When we asked for our money back they would not refund us. Management SUCKS! they are rude and dont care about customers

First time at the riverside resort
We (6) of us had a great time. We used the river walk for sight seeing and visiting.Out of the 4 days that we all were there we only had one bad restaurant experience,we didn't get waited on so we left, they were busy but were seating people after us.

coming for years
My husband and I have been coming to The Riverside for years but its looking a little tired. The carpet in the room wasn't stretched tight. It was buckeled up. The pool is always so cold when I go, which is in the spring. The pool bar was open this time which was great. They were doing a good business. And I love the little snack bar they have. They are open 24/7. We also had a great dinner at the Riverview Cafe. People were very friendly. I really do think they need to give that place some TLC!!

The RV Park by Don Laughlin's Riverside Resort
On any day, in any weather, this would be a terrible place to stay. There is no grass, the dirt blows, no decent place to walk a dog unless you are right near the dog park which is a very long walk down a steep incline from the upper spaces. There are no trees, no shade in the area where we were parked. The bathroom had a rotten odor and were not clean. The check out was a long wait by unfriendly staff. There was not one thing about this place that was redeeming!

Don Laughlin's Riverside--Improved Since Last Visit
After my last visit to the Riverside two years ago I wrote a rather scathing review of that hotel and casino. I have stayed at the Riverside 6 times over the last 8 years and it was really starting to get bad after my last visit. But since then, it looks like the Riverside has taking many of those complaints to heart and have made some nice improvements. However, until Mr. Laughlin commits to a complete renovation, this property will never be mistaken for a 5-star resort. But he doesn't charge those kinds of prices either. Improvements have been made to the players club and, hotel registration area, as well as the Prime Rib room. They have also added a Fatburger as well to their food options. Our room was also better than last time with newer linens on the beds. However, the TV in the room looks like something Fred Flinstone would have watched. It was so old, I can't believe it even works. It was an old school tube TV that had to be at least 10-15 years old.I like the Riverside in an old school kind of way. Sure the casino is smokey, but it's Nevada where those things are still allowed. The craps dealers are great, with really great drink service at the craps tables as well. We also got good comps too. I paid for 3 meals for me and my wife with the comps from playing craps.I like the direction the Riverside is going and I am sure we will be going back next year. It's not Vegas, but we like it that way.
