The hotel is located in Wailuku and is convenient if you have business in town. We were attending a graduation ceremony so we decided to stay here. The hotel is showing its age and is need of an update. The restaurant is not open all the time and the food is average. The rooms are clean but everything is old and in need of replacement. The bathroom was in terrible shape and the shower was stained and extremely small. They even charge you $5.00 dollars for parking which is unnecessary as there is a bunch of parking adjacent to the hotel. Internet access is available but not free. Will take a pass on this hotel the next time as there is a newer property next to the airport.

I stayed one night for business and found the room clean and spacious. There was no desk chair, but a call to the front desk brought a chair to my room within 5 minutes. I was not expecting a luxury hotel, the Maui Beach is a little worn, but the price was reasonable for Kahului and the staff was friendly and very professional. There is no bath in the shower, but the rain shower head was a nice surprise. If you prefer bar soap to liquid, bring your own. The soap and shampoo/conditioner is all liquid in large dispensers, but had a nice light scent. I will definitely stay here again.

Landed at 8pm and hotel is only 2 miles away. Car rental lady said to turn into the Seaside hotel to get to the Maui Beach Hotel as there are no lights. Well, she was right. The parking lot is dark with no lights. I had to turn into the Seaside (?) to drive to this property. I asked where I could get some food and was told across the street as a gas station. Room was adequate and internet worked fine. No laundry bag in room for dirty laundry so had to mix it with clean clothes in my bag.I just do not understand how Hawaii gets away with calling these average properties resorts or resort-like. Nothing resort-like about it but it is very convenient to the airport. Would probably stay here again if I arrived late or had an early morning flight. Would not stay here to vacation.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel because our plane landed in Kahului late and we did not want to drive all the way across the island to Ka'anapali in the middle of the night. The hotel offered basic amenities....sort of. No coffee in the rooms or the hotel. Had to walk across a busy street (highway.....4 or 5 lanes) to a convenience store with barred up windows (no admittance - had to tell the person at the window what we wanted). The rooms were small. It was basically a budget hotel. The carpet was old and crumpled, which made it difficult to roll luggage down the halls. There was a very small shower stall (no bathtub) with mold & mildew. The room was small. The price was high....one of the highest prices we paid during our entire trip, and this was one of the least impressive hotels during our two week stay at three of the Hawaiian islands. There is a fairly nice courtyard with a gazebo. The hotel sits right on the ocean, but there is no beach to speak of, and the hotel appears to be located in the industrial site, so we got great views of ....... industry. The parking fee is $5 per night. On the up side, wifi internet is included. The lobby is very spacious, and there is a desk right by the door to buy vacation excursions. This seems to be a primary focus for this hotel, and maybe why they think they can charge resort prices?! Oh... and I guess they have a pool, although we never saw it. I will drive across the island before staying here again, no matter how late the plane lands.

Stayed at the Maui Beach while waiting for a late night flight departure. Good clean hotel with a minimum of services. The hotel provides an airport shuttle but it only operates until 8:00 pm.This is a good and reasonably priced place to stay if you have to catch a flight in the early morning or late evening.
