Lost and Found
We were shafted, stuck and trapped. Then we found a homebase at Marriott.Drove to LA with hotels booked through an agency. Some big sports event came to town and suddenly every hotel was booked and slammed. Our hotel (2 adults, young child) was unable to give us the room promised by our agency. The very patient and kind manager was able to reach our agency who, when nailed like this, admitted the booking was never made. Sent us about five miles away to another hotel who had told the agent they had no room.Our callls and internet produced nothing until wavering like a mirage, we see the Torrance Marriott. What is the likelihood you might ask? We certainly did. Scoffed even. The manager was absolutely beautiful! She gave us a room probably reserved for the president or someone who might happen along with the kind of clout that would usually turn people like us out into the night. She gave it at the rate we were supposed to have paid (after we babbled our story).Oh. It was after midnight by the time we got to the hotel. What a great experience! Clean and virtually perfect with even a Starbucks in the lobby, we will come back every time. The food was excellent (even the buffet which I normally despise). It's pricey, yes, but the value deserves an excellent rating.

Great hotel but getting pricey
So this is the third time I've stayed here for business. The hotel is great, lobby is trendy and check in is absolutely seamless. I was at the desk less than 2 minutes to check in. THe clerk was aware of my request in the profile, and was in the process of having it fulfilled.However, the cost of the stay is becoming prohibitive. I find it very irritating that in addition to the room rate, the hotel still wants to charge for wireless internet. As the room cost goes up I will be forced to look for other lodging options in the Torrance area.

One of my best hotel experiences for stay and business
My agent directed me to this as one of the best hotel options for a venue to fit an event I put on in the Los Angeles area. And this hotel definitely lived up to the recommendation.For the stay, I've been in both a regular 2-bed room and a suite at this hotel. Both were great. The showers are a tad boring (these days I'd prefer a nice tiled walk-in shower and not a tub shower) That one small gripe aside, the rooms are comfortable, clean and welcoming. The room service staff is polite and has always addressed any need I had.If you're looking for a place to stay if spending the night at LAX, the hotel is a bit too far out. It would be incredible if it had a shuttle from LAX. But they currently do not.The hotel's restaurant has good food. It's not amazing and is on par with many hotels I've stayed in. But it's certainly good and the staff there is also fantastic and aimed to please. Plus, they have a Starbucks on the premise if you need a coffee or treat fix and don't feel like going to the restaurant. Many of the people who came to my event hit Starbucks all day long. Plus, Torrance, California itself has a number of great restaurants in walking distance of the hotel.For the venue for our event, the hotel was perfect and the event staff was incredible. They bent over backwards to take care of anything I needed and always made me and my team feel like we were their #1 priority the entire weekend. I've been in hotels, especially union hotels, that nickel and dime you to death. But the Marriott, especially this Marriott, is not like that and almost made us feel like family. Obviously you have to be reasonable yourself with requests/demands and, trusting that is the case, I fully recommend this hotel for anyone looking to host a small or medium sized event.

Great stay for me and could be for you too!
I had to stay here 4 nights for business and it was great, being an East Coast Gal the balcony rooms with the warm Cali air was the best. Keep in mind these are not coffee drinking balconies, but the air was great. Hotel seemed in good condition, and staff was friendly. Starbucks in the lobby was great for a quick bite, and walkable location next to the mall was a pleasant treat in the evening. I would stay here again and I would recommend it for business and leisure alike. The only downfall was price, please keep in mind this is a full service hotel and has a full service price to match.

Best Bang For Your Buck $$$
I always stay ar Marriott's and never got the chance to stay at this particular one! Anyways I received a cupon from my AAA membership and was able to book a quick one night stay here! Amazing customer serivce! I must say they are more than helpful and sure know how to make a guest feel like royalty! From the front desk all the way down to the valet guys! The ypung lady who checked us in put us on a high floor with an AMAZING view for no upgrade fee! Fantastic job guys! Would love to stay here again and I would recommend this hotel stay to anyone!
