My husband and I stayed here while on our honeymoon touring Italy. The hotel was comfortable and clean and the staff were very accommodating. We really liked the fact the hotel was outside of the city and was very quiet at night. After staying in the city of Rome, we welcomed the opportunity to hear the birds in the morning and not traffic. The breakfast in the morning was good and plentiful. Although it was a bit of a walk to the city center, we enjoyed it and found some nice shops and cafes on the way. Overall, it was a pleasurable experience staying at the Villa Carlotta and would recommend it to anyone wanting to stay outside of the city.

The hotel is great. Our room was big, clean,confortable bed, the bathroon was big, good shower and the ground was heated ( this was great in the morning ). The only thing that I didn't enjoy very much is that the room temperature was too warm and we didn't have the chance to turn on the air conditioning because only the heating system was working, so we feel a little bit warm during the night. The breakfast is ok, not a big thing, but I guess the usual for Italians. The location was great for us cause we had a car and couldn't get into the historical center( zona a traffico limitado ), but we had to walk aroud 3 Km to reach the center and most part of atractions. Sometimes after a day of visiting and walking this is a lot, but you can get a taxi back to the hotel ( around 10 euros ). Definitively I would stay in this hotel again.

We stayed at the Villa Carlotta nearly two weeks in March 2013. In our opinion, the hotel has a great location: a quiet place, everything is verdured - and within walking distance of the historic center. It is difficult to imagine that just a 10 minute walk distance from the Pitti Palace you can live much as if it is a country: the singing birds, fresh air, no endless crowds.The hotel is very cozy, large rooms with comfortable bed. But the best thing about this hotel is his staff. The hotel has a very friendly atmosphere, this is not "host ¿¿¿ guest¿¿¿ relations, but between hospitable hostess and welcome guests. You are always welcome in this home, and each and all shall be only too pleased to help you ¿¿¿ from the courteous, helpful, nice people at the front desk to the diligent maids. We stayed in many hotels in many tourist centers, but we have never seen such well-organized and kindly team.We dined at the hotel restaurant with his homelike atmosphere almost every evening. You are welcome by the waiter and barman segnor Mohammedan, the very vigorous, outgoing gentleman who is always ready to help you. You can speak to him on serious subjects or have a good laugh.The another waiter segnor Armando is very attentive and courteous man. Once he asked me ¿¿¿what type of coffee you want, signora Olga?¿¿¿ I was very surprised, because we met four days before, but he remembered my name. And then he brought me my cappuccino, and my name was written by chocolate on the surface of the coffee. I was genuinely shocked and happy.Chef signor Mario is the real soul of the restaurant; he is good-hearted, very considerate and has cousinly affection for the guests of his restaurant. By the way, his tiramisu is the best in Florence. In our last evening segnori Mario and Mohammedan themselves booked a table for us and we had our farewell dinner very kindly. It was present to our mind. Where can you find something like that?We got a lot of kindness of heart in the hotel and it was one of the most pleasant experiences of Florence. The location is the best thing about the hotel. It is located in a very nice environment. The center is easily accessible on foot. The rooms are relatively small, the bathroom could be better equipped. Breakfast is from simple to medium quality, the tea and coffee supply was not very convincing. The interior needs a refresh or replacement. The staff is helpful and friendly.

It is in a quiet region in the city but not far from the city center. the breakfast was nice.I will reuse this hotel. the room was enough to use for 3 person. the room had 2 bathrooms even in the twin beds and extra bed room.
