Five Star Stay
26 guests at my son's wedding in October 2012 stayed at the hotel and had the time of their lives. We were all greeted warmly but Christina and Danielle whose goal was to make our stay perfect. The location provides easy access to a public bus stop which takes you inexpensively up the hill to the town of Fiesole or down the hill to the city centre of Firenze. Breakfast room was lovely with the opportunity to dine on the outdoor terrace weather permitting. We are forever grateful to the wedding planner who suggested this Hotel for our stay.

Peaceful retreat with amazing views of Florence
We stayed at Vila Fiesole in November 2012. This was our third visit to Florence and this time we really wanted to stay in Fiesole. (I had stayed in Piazza Signoria in the centre of Florence on one visit and hardly got any sleep with bin men collecting rubbish and bottles along with late night party goers in the square.) I didn't want to repeat that again, so we choose Fiesole. Fiesole is a beautiful village with amazing views over Florence but only a very short (10 mins) bus ride to the centre of Florence. We choose Villa Fiesole as it is an elegant boutique hotel with personel service and we wanted to be sure of a good nights sleep. The tradition feel of hotel was also a draw. Everything about our stay here was perfect. The staff were excellent, friendly, professional and welcoming at the same time. Special thanks to Gugo and Daniele on the front desk and the attentive lady serving the wonderful breakfast in the dining room. Nothing was too much trouble. Our room was luxurious with every attention to detail, a big comfy bed with splendid cotton linens and an immaculate marble bathroom with as much hot water as one needed. We had a large terrace with an amazing view over Florence. We drank Prosecco on our terrace and gazed over Florence and the green hills below. We were impressed.Arriving by car we took advantage of the Free Parking facility and took the bus into the centre each morning. Buses run frequently and the stop is just outside the hotel. We enjoyed the 10 minute ride down through the pretty hills to the centre of Old Florence. We visited the Ufizzi Gallery which we strongly recommend along with the Pitti Palace. We had light lunches after our large breakfast set us up for the day. Returning in the early evening to our oasis in Villa Fiesole was a delight after a full day in Florence. I was able check my emails on the Free WIFI offered by the hotel and the use of a lap top set up in the lounge was an added benefit. We ate at two restaurants in the village of Fiesole which were both kindly recommended to us by the hotel staff. We had our best meals of our trip in Italy there, Terraza 45 and Il Polpa. We ate traditional Tuscan meals and local red wines, all delicious and far better value than in Florence. We enjoyed the authentic feel in Fiesole, meeting the locals in the little cafes and patisseries. We did meet other guests who had eaten in the hotel restaurant and they gave good reports. We felt pampered and thoroughly relaxed after our stay at Villa Fiesole and I will certainly choose to stay in Fiesole again over the centre of Florence any day. Indeed we hope to return again to Hotel Villa Fiesole to celebrate my husbands special birthday next year. Thank you again everyone at Villa Fiesole for making our trip so perfect.

Elegant hotel with great views, but a bit pricey
Luxurious and elegant hotel, between San Domenico and Fiesole. The place is good for a romantic getaway. The service is attentive and the rooms are bright, nicely furnished, with bathrooms which are not too small. Yet, a bit pricey.

Perfect!
Stayed here in September 2012 for 3 nights. We chose to stay just outside of Florence to get away from the busy city centre. The location was breathtakingly beautiful! It really is a perfect location with a bus stop just outside the hotel to Florence and the town of Fiesole further up the hill. Tickets can be bought from reception, couldn't be easier.The hotel staff were extremely helpful especially because it was my birthday and my husband had made arrangements with the staff in order to surprise me with flowers, champagne, strawberries and also a huge birthday cake, all of which wouldn't have been possible without the brilliant staff at the hotel who ensured I had a wonderful day/night. The rooms were perfect. Breakfast was perfect with a lot of variety. We ate on the terrace with spectacular views over Florence.We had dinner at the hotel twice which was also perfect maybe just a little slow with service on one night. I recommend the restaurants in Fiesole which are lovely and also a lot more reasonable than those in Florence. We also made use of the pool and the loungers after a busy day of sight seeing so it was nice to have this to come back to after a long day in Florence. Do note towels are provided.We will definitely return!

Perfect for Florence
Having visited Florence before and experienced the busy city centre we decided to base ourselves in Fiesole for some much needed tranquility after a busy days site seeing - we were not disappointed . With buses running every 15 minutes from directly outside the hotel straight into Piazza San Marco in the city centre for ¿¿¿1 each way this is THE most perfect setting . Spacious rooms ,lovely terrace bar with views over Florence and lovely breakfasts. Will most definitely return.
