A hotel like this in London would cost three times as much.2 stops on the Metro from the central station. Quiet location. Used public transport to get to all the major attractions - probably a little too far to walk. Friendly and helpful staff. Quiet a small room but clean and comfortable. Don't expect 5 star and you shouldn't be disappointed. Would stay again and will recommend to friends.

Nice, quiet, boutique hotel
Would like to share experience about Villa Patrizi. Its nice, quiet boutique hotel. Seems it was a Villa before, thats why not so much space. You shouldn't have expectations to have a huge hotel room so close to Rome center. Better to enjoy staying in kinda of authentic villa. Our room (101) was not big, but we have enough space for comfortable staying. Hotel is clean, quiet and cozy. Staff is welcoming and kind. Location is nearly perfect- two stops from termini with subway or buss. Taxi from main city center aprox. 20Eur. The best what we got from staying in this hotel - its sense of being in Rome. We like so much hotel garden. Was nice that we were welcome back from Rome night life in our hotel even on 4am.Breakfast was fine. From previous review we were waiting some kind of Breakfast Room Witch on the brush, but the lady were nice. Btw two blocs back till metro station Policlinici there is pizzeria-coffeshop on the corner- perfect one for breakfast or early lunch too (aprox.20 Eur per 2 person. Plenty Italian dishes). So - recommend this hotel. We did enjoy staying and do not regret about our choice.

Amazing location
The best part about this little cute boutique hotel is its location. Two tube stops away from Termini the central station. Located in a quite a nice area of Rome. I went to this hotel with two other girlfriends and we had the whole third floor with a balcony to ourselves.

Cute but small
We stayed in this hotel only for one night. It is situated in a lovely neighbourhood and seemed ideal for a romantic getaway. However, the rooms and bathroom are very small but what's more important is the air-conditioning. Even though we stayed only one night our room was so hot (even with the air-conditioning on "coldest") we had to open the windows on a rainy night to be able to sleep properly..And this comes from a person who is always feeling cold!..The night shift receptionist reassured us that the central air-conditioning was set in Cold but when returning to our room we found that another 2 couples had the same problem (they were checking with the other residents to see if we all had the same problem!).I would give them the benefit of the doubt since we only stayed one night but if I were to return it wouldn't be for more than 2-3 nights.

I'll stay here again.
Stayed here in October,2011, for 13 days, and couldn't be happier with accomodations, and especially the helpful staff. Located about 1 km north of the main railroad station, and about 1-l/2 km east of the Borghese Gardens, this villa (built in 1900) was about 100 meters from a bus and tram stop, and a 5-to-10 minute walk to Metro stop. In a quiet, tree-lined neighborhood within walking distance of really good, economical restaurants, perfect after a long day's touring, or even a hectic day of business. Rooms called small by other reviewerswere spacious by European standards, my pal and I moved around easily. Terraces were available to all, complete with chaises-longues, for relaxing in the mild Roman nights. The pricing for rooms was low compared to the dubious privilege of staying in the Centro Storico, or anywhere near it, any why bother when you are 10 to 15 minutes by taxi or bus, tram or Metro away from almost anything you want to see? The staff, again, were warm, professional and totally helpful with directions, including maps, making reservations, etc.I love Rome, and stayed downtown and near it, but I'm staying here again.
