This hotel charges separately for internet for every device
I liked the room but I was there for business and had different devices. They charged me for every one, this is a scam. I have stayed in this hotel before but never again. The food was so so and expensive. This was a business trip and have several devices. I own a hotel and we are proud to give our guests free internet.

Indented mattress
For the price, I expected much better! Location is good, but the room was disappointing. Our "suite", which is actually a studio had a lovely view of the dumpsters. We listened to the staff dumping glass into the containers during the night. Upon entry, I noticed a lamp unplugged. That's because you can't turn it off. Their solution is to just unplug it instead of fixing or replacing it. The bed covers are old and nubbly. I woke up to find my kids almost on top of each other in bed because the mattress is indented in the middle. The walls are very thin and we could hear people on all sides, as well as other guests slamming doors all night. I would never recommend this place to anyone because you will definitely not get your money's worth.

Beautiful and great location
I booked a room last minute via their website (actually cheaper than Priceline, and with wifi included). I didn't research too much into the hotel before I booked - just saw that it got great reviews and was the third lowest price in the DC available for that night. I was very happy when I arrived. There was a staff member that grabbed my bag when I stepped out of my taxi and later flagged down a cab. Checking in was a breeze and I liked the extra security of the swipe key for the elevator. The room was great - and had a BALCONY. Really fantastic! The bathroom was large, the shower had good pressure and the beds were comfortable. The last morning I was there, I called for room service and, though they said it would take 15 minutes, it arrived very quickly (maybe 10-15 mins) and was delicious; they also included an entire pot of coffee which was great. I also called for a replacement iron and toothpaste, both arrived within minutes. Overall, a great stay and I wanted to stay for another night. The balcony was such a treat!

Great spot
I have had wonderful stays at the St. Gregory Hotel. I travel to DC about 8 times a year and will always check St. Gregory's first. They have great deals and it is a convenient spot. The staff are very kind and pleasant. I had dinner once at their restaurant and really enjoyed it. The d¿¿cor may be a little dated, but it does have a luxurious style.

Renovations needed to match guest floors with lobby appearance
much needed revamp of room decor and fabrications should be management's main concern circa Fall 2013. they did enable a room for me by 11am when I had just booked at 6am, so kudos on making that available! brunch in the m st bar nd grill is great! unlimited mimosas...nuf said.
