Great hotel and great location
A really nice hotel with good facilities. Free wifi throughout the hotel. Nice pub associated with the hotel right next door also with free wifi and good food. Very near Aldgate tube station - 3 minutes walk. Good eating and drinking places in the close vicinity. Friendly staff. Breakfast was a bit pricey so we ate outside - lots of cheaper breakfast locations in the near vicinity

Great Hotel
Just returned from a 3 night stay at The Chamberlain and couldn't fault it. I had read previous reviews so was slightly wary but couldn't find anything to complain about! All hotel staff that we came into contact with couldn't have been more helpful or pleasant. We had a club twin room which was very nicely furnished and very comfortable. Breakfast was included in our package and again this couldn't be faulted. The hotel location is a bit further out of the centre of London than I would normally stay and is quiet during the weekend due to its location in the City but with easy access to both Aldgate and Tower Hill tube stations getting into both the centre of London or Kings Cross/Euston stations is very quick. Would definately stay there again.

Good Stay
I stayed in the Chamberlain Hotel on a business trip, it was close to my business meetings in the financial district. Getting around is easy as you have the tube station within a 3 min walk. The room was very clean and the staff was really helpful. All in all it was a good stay for the purpose of my trip.

Great location, great hotel
This hotel is located just on the edge of the City, close to three different Underground stations. Our room was silent, dark and perfect for sleeping. We really don't have any complaints at all. I think the room rates were fair considering the property and the location. We would enthusiastically recommend the Chamberlain for anyone wanting a convenient and quiet place to stay in east London.

Noisy and Expensive
Stayed here on 2 occasions for businessPros:- location's good for business, quite close to Tower Gateway and the financial district, easy to get to from London City Airport- rooms are quite big and modern- free wifiCons:- both times I stayed in rooms next to the street, although they do have double windows it was so noisy with the traffic and more importantly train noise, there's no way to get any sleep without earplugs, and even with the earplugs I could feel the train vibrations- it's just so expensive for what it is!- the bathroom sink plug was stuck, took them quite a while to fix that- there's no way to check in early if you arrive in the morningConclusion:- maybe it's ok on the weekends, but if you're on a business trip and need some sleep then I suggest that you don't stay thereWill definitely not stay there again
