4 star hotel??... no way
How can this hotel be rated as a 4 star? When checking in a lady, who seemed to be quite upset, was speaking with the receptionist in French. I checked in and got a voucher to use the internet but once in the room it didn't work. After telling my colleague who was with me in the reception, he told me that the lady was complaining about that that night. The internet never worked during the three night I stayed here. The cable TV only worked one night and there was only one channel in other language than French, CNN. When checking out they still had the courage of tell me that I took chocolate and chips from the minibar. I have stayed in 2-4 stars hotels and I would't complain that much it this would have been rated as a 2 star.The pictures at hotels.com give you a fake idea of what it really is.

Just not nice and a typical Parisian hotel - over rated!
I did not like this hotel - from the over-whelming smell on check - which itself was not good - to the tiny lift and poorly lot bedroom. Room was dingy and seemed dirty. Facilities were average. Find somewhere else if you can - even if you need to be in the area. I remain stunned that places like this can be graded 4* - the difference between this and a 5* hotels is indescribable. I don't event think there was a bar - certainly not one we could find!

Great hotel for a trip to Paris!
We booked this hotel on hotels.com as it was a good deal! When we arrived we were put into a bigger room than we had originally booked so we were happy! As said before lift is tiny but we were only on the 3rd floor so always took the stairs! Internet was intermittent but weren't really in our room as we were out sightseeing so we didn't really care. We didn't pay for breakfast as the patisserie over the road literally 2 seconds from the front of the hotel was amazing for a morning pastry!Short walk to metro also a 15 min walk to arc de triomphe which was great. Supermarket next door had everything you might want.All in all, great stay here would recommend to others!

Small but comfortable though internet a let down
This is a small hotel, with some lovely Art Deco fittings, and the room was small too, but the bed was comfortable and the hotel is well sited, less than a few hundred metres from the Wagram metro station.One disappointment was the internet, which was an extremely poor signal and seemed unable to maintain connections for more than a minute at a time.

Very Good Hotel
We have just returned from our second stay at the Mercedes, and it is still as good. An ideal hotel for a base to see Paris. 10 mins walk from hotel to Arch de Triomphe. Metro nearby and a supermarket next door. Room was very clean with tv and mini bar. If you ask at reception they provide you with a kettle, tea and coffee at no charge. Breakfast was not included in our deal so can't comment on that, it was 17¿¿¿ each so preferred to eat at a cafe. All the staff we met spoke very good English and were very helpful. Taxi to and from airport CDG cost 45¿¿¿ one way and 55¿¿¿ on the return.
