Nothing Fancy - Standard Hotel/Casino Room
We arrived without a reservation but a room was available for that night. Check-in clerk was courteous and efficient. Room was clean and simple. No breakfast or other deals were included.Okay place for an overnight stay but, we wouldn't want to spend an extended vacation here.

Average rating only because of the Wonderful Spa!
We stayed here for four nights (my husband came on a golf trip) - first of all, the hotel is old, tired and worn. There was a ripe in the rug, holes on our bed sheets and the vent in the bathroom was full of gross damp stuff! The positive - yes there is a positive - the Spa! Don't avoid the spa if you are put out by the hotel - the Spa is wonderful. The facility is wonderful, towels are fluffy, the 2 hour treatment was to die for (thanks Naomi). If I could, I would sleep at the spa. I would put up with the hotel just to use the spa!The Casa Cafe is good solid casino food. Lots of food for the price.

Some Very Good, Some not so Good
My husband and I stopped off here for a night on the way to Zion NP. The check-in process was long even though there was no one ahead of us in line. I always greet staff with a big smile and a friendly hello, and I barely got an acknowledgement. The reservations clerk was just this side of being surly. Our room turned out to be on the first floor, pool side. The view was nice of the pool and waterfall, but it was very noisy since the elevator was right on the other side of our wall and there was no carpeting outside our door to muffle the sounds of all of the traffic heading to the spa or pool. The room was in definite need of a face lift. There was a TV and a small refrigerator, but nothing else -- no in-room coffee or anything -- and only the beds to sit on. There was a small table and chairs, but the room was so small, that it was hard to position them between the beds and TV to find a comfortable position. The beds seemed very small for queen and the pillows were like rocks they were so hard. Worse yet, there was an incredibly bright bluish spot light right outside our window. It was meant to illuminate the hotel and trees at night, but it was so bright it hurt your eyes to look out the window after dark. It was so bright that even a sliver of this light coming into the room illuminated it. It seemed to be an odd placement for such a bright light. The grounds are nice with lots of waterfalls and fountains, a nice gazebo, lots of trees and grass. I hear the golf is actually quite good. The casino is nice with some great machines and pretty quick drink service -- in fact, it's faster to get something to drink at a machine than it is at the bar... go figure. There is an awesome coffee to-go bar that serves great, fast barista style coffees.We didn't try the buffet or cafe, but did eat at Katherine's, and the food and service was great.This place is just ok. If we want a quick get-away from Vegas / Henderson, we will go back to Laughlin as it is about the same travel distance and there are nicer, more comfortable rooms to be found there.

"coffee shop" offers a great value
Stopped here to stretch our legs and graba meal between Vegas and Zion. Beauntiful fountains with some limited shady parking. The girl at the front desk reccomended the "coffee shop" since we arrived too early for the buffet. The portions were very large. Meals could easily be shared.selections at ourtable included a chicke southwest salad with fireroaxted corn and black beans, vegetarian chow mein, and a bacon cheese burger. Everything was very fresh, the wait staff was attentive and when I complimented ghe salad to the waiter the chef came out to thank us and chit chat. Casino appeared to be clean, as clean as casinos go. We were probably the only people in the dining room underthe age of 35...or 65 but the atmosphere seemed pleasant and lively. Dining room also had a nice view of the pool area with palm trees and waterfalls

had a great time
Nice beds, nice room, nice people. Great pool with a nice 24/7 jacuzzi. Jacuzzi was usually quite crowded, with lots of little kids; they need another one or two on site,,, but it really was very nice. It was reeeeealy nice laying on the chaise lounges and hearing/seeing the artificial waterfall/cascade going into the pool. We loved it!
