An enjoyable stay
The staff person at the front desk was a bit disorganized, but overall the service was satisfactory. The room was a corner room on the top floor, and it was very clean and quiet. I must say, though, that I couldn't get the baseboard heaters to work. Thank goodness it was a warm day! Underground secure parking was easy, and that plus the breakfast was free with a promotional coupon. A really good deal compared to most other hotels in the city. The breakfast area was spotless, and there was always a worker there to make sure it was clean and refurbished with food. The food selection was varied and totally ample.Bus service to downtown was right across the street.I would use this hotel again for short trips to Vancouver.

One night!
When you select a hotel room for cost saving you take the risk of perhaps losing some quality for savings. I am happy to say that my whole experience at the Motel 8 in Vancouver right from being picked up at the airport to returning me to the airport the next day was very satisfactory and will stay with them again.

Good location,helpful service.
The staff were really helpful on our stay. We were able to get late check out and the desk clerk paid for a cab to take us to the airport as their shuttle had broke down. The hotel is in a good location, close to many restaurant's , fast food options and a supermarket. The only problem that we had with our room was that the headboard was off of the wall and for some reason next to the bed.

Better than I expected
Stayed here for 2 nights. Clean room, certainly adequate ¿¿¿ close to airport and the course I was taking. Didn't really expect much except a place to sleep. When I read complaints online about the bad smell I was a bit worried, so it was great to find that the lobby actually smelled really fresh - good for them for making that change - not all hotels would make the effort. The staff helpful and friendly too.
