we arrived on April 29 at 1.30 pm our room wasn't ready but we were checked in and were given drinks and shown to the restaurant where we had a fabulous lunch as was all the food we had for the 2 weeks we were there, always something different everyday well presented and cooked.The staff....fantastic Milly on the lobby bar was extremely helpful..nothing too much trouble but most of all telling us about where to go and what to see and how to get there..thank you Milly...and Dave in the restaurant and salon bar always smiling and running round to make sure you had everything you needed..if your glass was empty he would be over to refill it....GLORIA PALACE is the one of the best hotels for comfort,pools,food and all inclusive I have ever come across...thank you for making our holiday the best yet. We will certainly recommend this hotel to our friends and family, once again many thanks xxxxxxx

We stayed here at the end of April beginning of May on an all inclusive basis and were not disappointed. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. There was a panoramic lift to the beach and it was only a 5 minute walk into the main shopping area. The local bus station in the town runs buses frequently to different places at very reasonable prices and the water taxis are also available. The hotel has a varied and impressive food range which has a lot which is cooked fresh ,the sun terrace in the dining area is a fabulous place to eat and the staff there are excellent. The rooms are cleaned to a very high standard as are all of the areas around the pools ,relaxation areas and bar areas .We were greeted with a glass of champagne on arrival and given all the help we required by the efficient reception staff. The pool area around the snack bar is much quieter but the animation team do most of games etc around the saloon bar pool which also has a fantastic bar and seating area. This is definitely a 4* hotel and gives you luxury at an affordable price and I would definitely recommend it.

Not long home from a relaxin week at this beautiful hotel. Went on a recommendation to this holiday so hav high hopes and it didn't disappoint. Upgraded our room to a junior suit which was stunning!!! Weather was perfect and the food was top quality big selection and choice. Staff all very friendly. Bit disappointed the spa was closed for maintainace so will just have to return again to check it out :) overall a perfect paradise holiday and special thanks to waiter David for his friendlyness and for remembering out names which I though was a nice touch. :)

Stayed for the first 2 weeks of May 2013 and couldn't recommend this hotel enough, the staff couldn't be more helpful in all areas of the resort and the hotel itself was stunning and most importantly clean! The food was amazing with plenty of choice and was quite difficult to not over eat!! We travelled with a 3 year old who settled into the hotel immediately, and the hotel couldn't do enough to be friendly and welcome to the children. The kids club was excellent with lots of well thought out activities going on... he loved it!!The location is perfect for easy walking access to both Puerto Rico and Amadores we will definetly be returning!!

Location, location location this hotel has it ( mainly for able bodied guests)Basically this is a good value hotel with high standard in cleanliness, food, staff and facilities.No problem giving this a 4 star status in my opinion for what its worth.Reception staff are very efficient some can speak English better than others but I noticed that Maria was very fluent,efficient and courteous and was a great ambassador for this hotel.The all inclusive system they have introduced needs simplifying even if that means raising the prices a little it is too confusing and frustrating for the person who just wants all inclusive to mean all inclusive !!Management in my opinion need to address the drinks situation particularly in the bar area opposite reception ,as there is definate discrimination situations taking place by some bar staff who prefer to serve cash paying residents ( mainly H/B or B/B residents).You see, when you are All inclusive you present your card which is swiped on the till by bar staff no money changes hands so no tip !!!But if you are wise to this and prepared to hand a 10 euro note or similar to the barman at the start of your holiday then I guarantee you will not experience such discrimination.In fairness it was only the reception bar I experienced this behaviour.Being the personality I am I would not be intimidated by such coldness but other people were.The food and restaurant staff were of a high standard despite the pressure management and staff were often under, at no time did I experience anything less than friendly,courteous helpful staff in this area. 2 x Pool areas both well maintained with no problem getting sunbeds and cushions.One area mainly for the more active including music, water aerobics, games etc and a separate area for the little ones nearby with their own baby type pool.Animation team what I saw of them were very good.The other pool area was a more quiet relaxing area food and drink at hand but no music or kiddywinks running around.Never heard anyone complaining about their spacious clean rooms as it appears they all have sea view with balconies except of course if you have been allocated a a room level with the kiddies and noisy pool area.Entertainment was typical and varied but I must say each act was of a higher standard than normally experienced and thankfully no Karaoke !We visited Gloria Palace Royal very nice a little more upmarket but not so spacious and lacked the personality and variety this hotel had to offer.We also visited the Riu Hotel next door so to speak but realistically its more of a 3 star and could not compete with this hotel.If John and Mary from Ireland are reading this ,lovely to have met you and had a crach ! but that blue gin fizz you so much enjoyed Mary was on my tab when I checked out !..lolTip of the day be careful buying alcohol from the shops at Peurto Rico Harbour check that the tops are Metal not plastic and that there is an untampered seal over the tops.Yes someone did try to tuck me up !Bottom line would my wife and I return to this Hotel.....Most definately.If this review has been helpful to you please click the button below..thanks
