Beautiful
Had a lovely holiday in Puerto Rico, nicest apartments I have stayed in when abroad, extremely clean, modern, friendly and helpful staff. Great night sleep had every night as we could never hear the neighbours when inside room. Rooms had air conditioning so not stuffy at night. Tv channels in room could be changed back to English so a good variety to pick from if having a night in! Kitchen was equipped with microwave, toaster, kettle,blender, fridge and hob. Hairdryer in the bathroom is actually very good for a hotel dryer so one less thing I should have packed. If coming back to Puerto Rico this is where I would definitely stay again!

Relaxing and chilled
If you are thinking of staying in Gran Canaria it is worth paying a little bit more to stay at Marina Bayview, it was relaxed and chilled and we were very happy with our choice. The rooms were comfortable especially the beds & pillows, cleaned (including washing-up dishes) 5 times a week & the bed linen & towels changed on a regular basis (you could ask for extra towel change if necessary). Yes, there are a lot of steps (165 to our apartment) so it is not suitable for those with mobility problems or young children, but you soon get used to it and it's good exercise!! (& takes less than 10 minutes not 45 as someone else commented?) The balconies & terraces all faced the marina so the views were fantastic. We only ate lunch there once during our stay, the food was very reasonably priced, service was excellent (in fact all the staff at Marina Bayview were very friendly & professional) the food was adequate for what we paid. We visited the sister hotel, Marina Suites, they were lovely too but much bigger & busier complex with more kids around. It is ground level ( so no steps) has the most wonderful infinity pool that overlooks the sea and can be used by guests from Marina Bayview (plus restaurant & evening entertainment). The town beach at Puerto Rico is fine but a 20 minute stroll (or short bus ride) will take you to Amadorres Beach which is much nicer with a few beach side shops & restaurants. Also It is worth visiting Puerto Mogan either by boat or bus, it is so pretty & there plenty of good restaurants to try. My only minor niggle was lack of parasol & only one deck chair on terrace (although there were 2 director chairs).

The Beautiful Marina Bayview
Would thoroughly recommend if staying in Puerto Rico, except for those not fit to climb lots of stairs. Beautiful views of the Marina, rooms basic but tastefully decorated. Mega comfy bed in a great air conditioned bedroom with an en-suite bathroom (shower only no bath), only problem is un-lockable swing door on loo so not very private. Food and staff lovely at pool bar, however closed at 6pm and no bar or restaurant in the evening which was a definite negative if wanting to relax and not go far to eat or have a drink. Plenty of sun loungers by a nice pool area.

Location, helpful Staff, apartments in great shape
Great choice for being in Gran Canaria. South of the island, warmer climate, never rain (only 5d days a year). Great temperatures (23 ¿¿C) and always a cool breeze, all year round.Great location with spectacular sea-view and view on the harbor. All apartments with cleaning service. Some (select) have amenities such as bathrobes, etc... There is a small store on the premises but there is a supermarket nearby for those who choose to have breakfast or lunch or dinner in their apartment. We had half board. Then you have breakfast nearby the pool. Breakfast scores a 7,5/10. Great fresh orange juice, different kinds of breads. You can have cheese, meats, eggs sunny side up, scrambled eggs, sausages, beans, warm tomatoes, mushrooms, etc... Choice of yoghurts. Only the standard coffee is deepfrozen Douwe Egberts... Good enough for me, but I am an Nespresso-fan... So I missed the better coffee. You can have a genuine espresso if you pay extra.Dinner is served in another hotel of the group nearby the port (downhill). You can walk (1/2 hour or 45 min) down the mountain via stairs or you can take a taxi (3,50 ¿¿¿ each trip) which the hotels pays you back !! Great service. You ask front-desk to call you a taxi and they take you in front of Marina Suites to have your dinner. Dinner gets also a 7,5/10. It is a buffet. Starters, soup, main course and dessert and cheese and fruit and yoghurts... Lot's of choices for a very reasonable price. You only have to pay extra for your drinks and wines... who also come reasonable. I remember the most expensive white wine we drank at 20 ¿¿¿ a bottle.We recommend this hotel for couples with babies or smaller children, couples without children. For the children there is only the pool and the fitness... but that was enough for our children. Guest were mostly Scandinavian people whom I find very quiet and polite.We went with Arke (Tui-group) from Holland and paid a very reasonable price. Very, very good price quality ratio.

simply the best
marina bayview is a excellent place to stay, with beautiful apartments, lovely views over marina and coast. spotless clean and very helpful staff,a very special thank you to recepection manager Rafael who was most helpful,and very friendly. this is one of the best places to stay in puerto rico gran canaria. would absolutly recommend these apartments to everyone.
