the parking deals i,e,¿¿53 for room and 8 days parking and ¿¿60 for room and 15 days parking are very reasonable, The hotel is in need of refurbishment but o.k.for an overnight prior to flying, but the prices for drinks and very ordinary food was very expensive

This hotel hasn't been blessed with the most pleasing architecture, a 70s monstrosity sat on the side of the river, but with few river views (even from the 'Riverview' restaurant). You'd hope some investment would have been made to the rooms since this decade, but it appears very little.Reception was hardly friendly and we were quickly dismissed. My room was on the first floor, over-looking a litter strewn flat room and some mounds of grass. Rooms are ok - dated with an old skool tv with 6 channels - the normal 5 and Dave! Can't they afford 'freeview?' Bathroom was fine - small but clean. Sadly the bed was dire - old pillows and a very thin and uncomfortable mattress.As hotel is quite isolated and we were car-less we were stuck with eating at the hotel - choice of limited bar food or more fancy a la carte in the restaurant. We ended up going first to the restaurant, but if the decor was anything to go by we guessed the food would be dire - our table was surrounded by a collapsing side board and a fake plastic tree with fairy lights - main causes started around ¿¿18! no thanks. Instead we chose the ¿¿10 meal deal which was chicken madras - sadly it was dire, with chunks of chicken is slightly spicy tomato ketchup, plain rice and a tiny naan - c'mon guys, how hard is it to make a half decent curry sauce and some basmati rice!we 'retired' to the bar which had one tv streaming football from a computer - no sound as presume foreign commentary.scottish breakfast the following morning was equally dire - flabby sausages, stewed coffee and chunks of grapefruit - an interesting link back to the 70s architecture.the hotel had a large contingent of overseas visitors and it made me cringe that this is quality of hotel served up in one of the most beautiful countries in the world. an embarrassment. Avoid

Had a great stay at Erskine Bridge during bank holiday. From outside it looks like an office block but once inside you are pleasantly surprised. They have used great colour schemes to highlight the foyer/ lobby areas so it was quite cosy. The bed room had a great view of Erskine Bridge and the lake. The kids had a wonderful time - in the swimming pool and on the grounds. There's a lot of space in front to run around and thats what they did- took a lot of pictures with the scenery and looks great. The breakfast area was neat and spacious and again had a nice cozy feeling to it with great staff - very motherly. Even though we had breakfast near closing time we were not rushed. I would like to mention Kayleigh on reception- very welcoming, warm smile and earnest. Would definitely recommend as a family destination and wedding venue.

The Erskine bridge hotel I first thought would be terrible after reading over the many negative reviews the users had given it, but when I walked into the foyer of the hotel all my dread washed away . It was clean and Well decorated except for the bright blue sofas in the foyer. When I went up to my room I was astounded the room was very spacious and clean and the view of the Clyde was amazing. The beds were comfortable and the service was great. So to conclude don't listen to the other reviews they are very negative, because this hotel has everything you will need and more.

As I am writing this review , I am just out of what should of been one of the best baths iv ever taken due to the carry on in being able to have it!- on arrival at the hotel this evening got a 2nd floor room, a 'newly refurbished' one. Corridor was gastly colour of green. The one good thing about the room is that it is clean . However I would not like to see a lower standard room. My partner started to run me a bath, I am quite heavily pregnant and due to the usual aches and pains needed a soak in the bath, after running the water for 10 mins to no avail, it was still cold/ luke warm. I called reception got a SIGH from the receptionist and a 'oh ill send someone ok?'response, a young chap then appeared at the door who admitted himself didn't know what to do wasn't 'a mantienence guy' and would only be able to confirm what we knew no hot water.. He disapeared and said he would speak to his manager , he didn't return so my partner called down again, we were told there was only one other room available, but it was an 'unrefurbished' room. I wasn't keen on getting dressed, packed and ending up somewhere worse so my partner went to have a look at the room and returned quickly need I say more? The room was worse he described it as a 'joke' the bathtub was filthy with blue stains and chips. So he refused the change of rooms. He went down to speak to a manager and found others complaining of the same thing. Turned out to be a boiler fault and they couldn't call to get it fixed as it was a weekend!! So the unheard of almost comedic result was a wait in the room for 40 minutes until someone arrived with a food trolley full of buckets of hot water, he filled the bath for me and told me to call him if I wanted more?! We were then told that he would deliver hot water for a bath in the morning, most people and certainly us have showers in the morning, but we were told this wasn't an option unless it miraclously fixed its self in the night, neither was a discount! I understand these issues with hot water can happen and I am not normally one to complain but it was the stupid way in which it was dealt with that is unsatisfactory and to offer an alternative room like that find it hard to believe they allow people to sleep in them! And no discount or a complimentary breakfast was just unacceptable . The last things ill note are that there is no air con, room is stuffy, window has to be open fully (well if you feel like ending it all this is good!! no safety lock and is quite unsafe especially for young families a chair is placed underneath it too) and there is A LOT of noise from people drinking late etc, the curtains don't fit properly nor do they meet in the middle so there is purple neon lights shining into the room. The lifts are loud and constand, walls paper thin could hear folk around us using the bathroom not to mention some conversations! The tiling under the sink section which you see whilst in the bath, must be a joke, you can see the old tiles underneath them the grouting is half way up the wall with missing tiles and the pipes are covered in black mould. Oh and the 'wifi' and 'freeview' advertised is a big fat fib, there isn't any. The 80s style tv has about 4 channels working for me at the moment. I wouldn't recommend staying here at all. Its a shame as it could be so much better if serious improvements are made!
