We stayed here for 7 days in September, the apt itself was clean, very nice, adequate for the price. Only few complaints, we couldn't figure out how to use the stove, no instructions for it, also the shower has a small lip and fills quickly so have to sower quickly or shut off water midway to let drain before continuing. Was not a big issue tho. Maybe 20 min walk from subway and train station. Close to a lot of small restaurants and stores, also a McDonald's which was nice and familiar. Approx 15 euro cab ride to the docks where wonderful restaurants and nightlife are. Would recommend and stay again

Inadequate best describes this accommodation. It was clean is the best that can be said. It had been recently been refurbished, but badly, doors didn't close properly and everything round the apartment & building creaked noisily when you moved around. The reason for an apartment was so we could have a social area, but guest are not allowed and anyway the cooking equipment and crockery supplied was insufficient for 2 let alone more. TV only received 1 channel and was positioned in the bed room area not the (admittedly uncomfortable) lounge area. No house keeping service include in the cost, you are expected to remove your own rubbish, but not told where too and no equipment is provide to enable you to clear the apartment as requested.5 minute walk from good, cheap bus and tram service, however taxi drivers don't know where it is. View from window is straight in to locals homes, if you can see through the washing.

This is a rental without a reception - we met no one from Portgual Ways during our entire stay. Thus, you will need some codes to enter the building and the safe. I found this out randomly, and had to send a mail asking. The location of the apartments is very good - the area is both charming and quiet. However, the cobbled, steep streets can be rather hard to maneuver if you're not not fully fit. It is also worth noting that the building doesn't have an elevator. If you're not into walking, you might also find the metro to be too far away (15 min walk), although the tram and several bus lines are close by. If you ARE into walking, I can highly recommend just strolling the area, as it provides just the right sense of peacefulnessThe rooms are great. Highly functioning and with nice interior (literally everything's bought from IKEA). The kitchen and bathroom are both modern and clean. The only disadvantage of the rooms is that you can hear the stairs and hallway LOUD and CLEAR. We wanted to stay up at night and sleep late - this was deemed impossible as we were constantly woken up by our neighbors scrambling down the stairs from 7am. This will especially be a problem if you, like us, have one of the apartments on the first floor.In conclusion - the high standard of the rooms and the charming area makes this place a great stay, unless you are the very light sleeper or not fond of walking.

I am currently staying at these apartments and have been here for a week. Make sure you have your door code and code to get your room key before arriving. This was emailed to me but some others staying here booked through their travel agent and they didn't have the codes. The apartments do not have a front desk. Some have complained that the stairs are noisy and yes, I guess they are because they are wooden but I haven't found this to be a problem. The apartment is very close to public transport and the supermarket is not far away. The free wifi is fantastic. It is a family part of town and I have felt very safe wandering around. There is no clock or hairdryer but there is an iron and a washing machine. The TV is all in Portuguese as you would expect and there is no DVD player. I've really enjoyed my stay here and definitely recommend it.

It's near the city center and the tram stop. It's clean and the furniture is new.Very nice!
