Hotel for a rugby trip.
I was leading a party of rugby supporters spread over three Toulon Hotels and from reports this was the best of the three ( I did stay in it myself). It is situated about half a mile from the station and the rugby ground and is close to several excellent bars and restaurants. The hotel is basic but clean and comfortable, breakfast was adequate. The staff are friendly and speak good English. Would I stay there again? Definitely!

clean and friendly basic hotel
while working in Toulon, this hotel was booked for me......so i had no choice in the matter. However it proved to be the best choice.....the staff are very friendly, helpful and amenable. Rooms are clean and comfortable, and some rooms have baths in addition to showers- quite unusual in the South of France. There is mini-bar, so you can keep a few items, like fresh milk for you tea..... and yes there is a kettle! a very unusual bonus in this part of the world.the location is excellent, in the centre of the pedestrian warren of the old time.....with everything walkable. one word of warning - streets are cleaned and rubbish is collected every day in the early morning......so there is always a bit of early morning noise, but that is a small price to pay for the joy of wandering these spotless little streets and alleyways.....miraculously litter and chewing-gum free! The breakfast is good, but there is no reception area, which can make it feel somewhat un-welcoming.- not a luxurious hotel but a perfectly good clean choice for the price.

Very good hotel
We stayed in this hotel for one night on our 10 days of travel in Spain/France. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful providing a map of city and to the parking garage. Heads up, they want you to leave your room key at the front desk when you leave the hotel for dinner ect. I read another review about this policy for other hotels, so at least I was warned. Your room key is an actual key with the room number on it. What we figure is they don't want you losing the key when out and about.... Toulon is a lovely town, probably our favorite during this trip. It is clean and we felt very safe. We were lucky to wake up to market day and spent several hours wandering through the stalls.

Overall good
After being in Paris for the weekend it was refreshing to be in Toulon. I chose this place because I was there for work, location was great, walking distance to plenty of restaurants & train station...the room was old but clean, beds not comfy, nice staff...wish I had more time in Toulon but I recommend this one.It was weird that every time I left the hotel, they asked for my room key...

Overnight in Toulon
Very nice hotel, neat rooms, clean bathrooms. However, make sure you know where the parking is before arriving by car. The hotel itself is in a pedestrian street and not accessible by car. Also very close to the Opera with many restaurants close by. If you park in the car park, be sure to tell reception as they will give you a remission on the parking fee.
