It's a 2 star hotel not fake 4 star
You are lucky if you get a room what has a garden view. That will mean you will able to sleep. The rooms facing the street won't allow you sleep! The noise from traffic (taxi and drunken drivers who make party snd loud music in the car) during the night is annoying!The windows what face the street were dirty (every time I stayed here) so you better don't open it! Otherwise the rooms were mostly clean except once when I don't had a single towel in my bathroom. I had to ask my collage to give me one as the reception was no longer there.When you meet anyone on the reception they are not that friendly at all.This hotel is for sure not 4 star! It was even closed during summer as the owner was arrested by the police.

2 Star Hotel!
The parking is around the back, open and unsecured. As a 60ish couple we prefer better neighbourhoods for walking home after dark. Walking home one evening the streets were deserted, businesses run down and area seedy. The breakfast was too expensive so we took the bus into Salzburg to eat. We both walked into town and used the bus but we felt that given a choice again we would NEVER stay here. It felt run down. At night the bus is a better option from town or the train station because it stops at the door. There was no luggage storage and the lobby was strewn with luggage when we arrived. We could have scooped up anyone's and no one would notice.

Good experience, great value
Even if it's not a 4-star hotel, (I''ll rate it as a 3-star), it's a good place to stay when visit Salzburg. It's not in a central location, but it's not far from the city center and there is a good public transportation system. It's very close to train station and just outside the hotel you can take the bus that goes you directly to the airport. The stuff is really helpful and friendly and they can answer to your questions. There is free WIFI in the rooms, you just have to ask the password from the reception. Generally my stay there was a good experience!

First rate hotel and staff
The desk and housekeeping people were very friendly and responsive. I found the room spacious and spotless, with large bathroom and good shower. Bed was also comfy. The location is just great, a block from beautiful riverfront walk to old town, bus stops a block away, train station 10 minute walk, and fine restaurants within a block... Italian next door had good pizza, but the prize goes to Steirische Weinstuben, the green cafe on the corner in the next block- food and service outstanding- the lady of the kitchen even recalled the names of great Austrian brother and sister actors Maria and Max Schell! Back to the hotel- A happy biergarten just outside our room was lively, but double paned windows allowed me to have a good rest so I could enjoy a very lovely city, Salzburg.

Cheap, Clean and Convenient
I cannot agree with those that say this is "out of the way". It is right a major bus route that will take you all over the city including the Old Town area. It is a block from the river where there is an excellent designated pedestrian zone the full length of the river, which was a magnificently refreshing walk. At a leisurely pace, it took us 15-20 minutes to reach the center of the town. The staff could not have been better. They were top notch from the reception to the housekeeping staff. Our hair dryer died out and they replaced it immediately. The room was extremely clean and the windows were new double paned, blocking most, but not all noise. The windows were clean as well. The beds were extremely comfortable.The negatives are these: The drapes do not extend over the entire windows, but the sheer curtains, which do, do not block the morning sun. Although the room was spacious, the bed is so close to the window, it was difficult getting in and out of that side of the bed. The pillows are so thin, we needed two each, but a third would have been better.All said, I would definitely recommend it and I would stay here again, but bringing an eye mask.
