I was very pleased with my stay and will keep this hotel in mind for next time I'm in Santa Cruz. Its location is great and the staff were friendly and helpful. I was delighted to see that the room had air conditioning, a not-so-common feature in many Spanish hotels.

Okay for a day or two
The hotel is a small commercial hotel located in a pedestrianised part of the town; I do not think car-parking is available. The nearest bus stop is in the Plaza de Espana, where there is also a tourist information office, at the end of the street where the hotel is. The tram runs from the main bus station to within 3 minutes walk of the hotel.There are many restaurants, cafes, bars and fast food outlets near the hotel. A supermarket is within 5 minutes walk, and the main bus staion about 20 minutes.Reception staff are polite, rather than friendly; they speak Spanish , but I can too so I'm not sure how good their other languages are.I had a single room on the 7th floor, which is reached by two lifts. My room had a single bed, bedside table, refrigerator, desk and chair, wall-mounted flat-screen television and a built in wardrobe. It had air-conditioning and a large terrace. However, there was only one free power socket and that was in the bathroom. The bathroom had only a shower, washbasin and toilet. The room had a parquet floor and was clean.Breakfast was self-service, served from 08:00 only and quite basic, being limited to ham, cheese and rolls, although there were also a great variety of wrapped pastries. It was served in quite a large dining room.My room, and other superior rooms, had wi-fi, though the connection was quite slow.I think the hotel is reasonable value for the money, but you probably would not want to stay here for longer than two nights, no more than you would want to spend more than two days in Santa Cruz.

Disappointing
Friendly receptionists (speak mainly Spanish only), free of charge wifi (mega slow) and it's centrally located, a great starting point for city excursions. And reasonable prices. That's the positive. On the other side, basically clean, but many smelly rooms (those we have checked and located in the easy accessible part of the hotel were all terrible), basic interieur (make sure that you get a room in the refurbished halve, located further away from the reception), very simple breakfast, no restaurant, no sporting activities, mainly Spanish TV channels (one American one only), no parking for your car. Not even the possibility to stop your car in front of hotel to discharge your luggage. And very noisy, if you have a correspondingly less caring neighbour or a street party is going on. Recommended only for people who are out all day long, eat outside and just need a cheap bed for the night. Then it's a deal and therefore ok if you don't expect more. But for young families, especially with kids a "no go". Well, that's my opinion.

Good basic hotel.
If you're looking for an inexpensive place to stay in the heart of Santa Cruz, with no frills, then this is it. It covers your basic needs, and is good if you're not planning to spend a lot of time at the hotel. Be careful if you're planning to sleep through any major events/celebrations that are happening nearby because there's practically no sound-proofing against outside noise. Staff are friendly and helpful. It's a good place to base yourself if you're planning to explore the island, but definitely a no-frills hotel.

Perfect location
Planned a last minute trip with the boyfriend for New Years and literally picked Tenerife and the hotel out of random. Much to my surprise I was extremely pleased with our choice. The staff were friendly, rooms were clean and was of good size. Good value for money. The location is just perfect. The New Years eve party was literally at our doorstep as well as the city centre. Would definitely stay there again if I was ever planning a trip to Santa Cruz again.
