Excellent boutique hotel in PERFECT location!
My boyfriend and I spent 2 nights at Artus Hotel a week ago. We loved it. The hotel was small and comfy, the staff very friendly and helpful. The interior was very nicely done, unique, and inviting. And the location - I'm not sure you could beat it! You step out of the hotel and are in the middle of a street market that is absolutely beautiful. Cafes lines the streets giving you that true Parisian experience. Notre Dame and Musee de Louvre are also within a quick walk. We also hopped on the Bato Bus which stopped at all of the star Parisian spots - again, within walking distance. I would most definitely recommend this hotel for your stay and I can't wait to go back!

Simply the Best
Artus Hotel in Saint Germain Des Pres is one of the best places to stay in Paris, not only because of its location in the heart of old Paris (the Latin quater) or because of its boutique style presentation, but because they simply have the best conceirge. Sanjay is amazingly helpful and goes out of his way to make sure all is as it should be. In fact, he is one of the main reasons as to why I keep going back and staying at Artus for so many years and why I recooemd to my friends and colleagues that they too should stay there.Thank you Sanjay, you are Simply the Best.

Excellent care !
We loved the Artus - we received excellent care and the attention to detail was so refreshing. We arrived tired and worn from a 12 hr flight to find our room ready and waiting. The staff particularly San Jay the concierge offered excellent service and advice to restaurants, shopping and sights to see. We loved the location of the hotel in that it is within walking distance of most of the 'must sees' of Paris. The room was small but nice - we didn't go to Paris to enjoy the room but to see the sights and this place is perfectly located. Large bathroom with shower which we loved after traveling in the British Isles and encountering only bathtubs. Everything was very clean and neat always - would do this again in a heartbeat!

Too expensive and suffocating
It was a terrible choice. Internet pictures were misleading. Rooms are too small and dark. the hotel feels like stuffed from the moment you enter. the elevator is from some other century. The hotel has nothing to recommend except the location.

Charming hotel, great location
We stayed for four nights in one of the classic rooms (cheapest!). The hotel is small, very quiet, but very well located in St Germain just five minutes from the Seine and within 10 minutes of both the Louvre and Notre Dame. The room was very comfortable, newly decorated in a 1950s retro style. It was small by UK standards, but still big enough for us both to sit and read. Service was unobtrusive but excellent (clean towels every day) and the hotel is kept to a very high standard. My only caveat is that the bed, while very comfortable, is not designed for tall people. If you are much over 6 foot, I'd suggest contacting the hotel before you book.
