convenience for University area and downtown
Hotel Elite Arcadia is a mid level hotel that is great value for this expensive city. plus points are location and staff. just a few stepa from the underground metro line and two stations from city center. Rooms small but confy and spotless. Rather like living in the IKea catalogue as everything is just perfectly functional and minimalistic. Reception speak perfect English (what else would you expect from Sweden). Breakfast room small but never overcrowded. buffet more than adequate and well maintained. All in all a great business or tourist stay at a reasonable price. My third visit here and standards maintained consistently.

Comfortable and quiet
I stayed in this hotel for a couple of nights on April 2013 sor business purposes. The hotel is conveniently located just 100 meters from the metro station. The position is not central, however the center can be reached by metro very quickly. The room was quite spacious, with a double bed. The bathroom was OK, however I had a bathtube, which was quite uncomfortable for having a decent shower. The room was quiet. The people at the reception desk is friendly and helpful. There is free wifi in all rooms. The brekfast is absolutely amazing. There is a huge choice, and the quality is high.

Business trip
Pleasant enough hotel. Room modern and comfortable with in room safe and minibar. Bathroom small with splash shower - no bath. Complimentary toiletries. Good and free wi-fi. Slightly annoying was that curtains did not close properly letting light into room.Right outside is a metro station, four stops to the Old Town , Gamla Stan so very handy in that respect. Good breakfast buffet with plenty of choice although part of restaurant was shut making it very cramped.

Skandinavian pragmatism at its best
I would like to invite those people who run one of the major (here unnamed) German hotel chains that set their priorities so badly to go to Stockholm and pick a random good hotel, such as the Hotel Arcadia. Here, the priorities are just right. The rooms are basic, but nice and up to date in their design. There is free wireless internet access (which is a no-brainer, obviously, but in some countries this is remarkably often seen as an "extra"). Breakfast is good. This is it, and this is a good thing. On top of that, people are easy and friendly, and while being on the more expensive side, it is not excessively costly. I will come back.

Organised and great breakfast
I come here every year to visit KTH university which is near the hotel. The breakfast is great with many options. The rooms are simple and are neat and tidy. The staff have been very usefull and are friendly. There is laso internet which is fast compared to South African standards.
