Ok, but would't stay here again
Have stayed at this hotel just one night for busuness. I choosed it as it is close to the business park (1.5km). It is on outside Madrid and nothing is at walking distance. The hotel is nice and clean, the room was also ok. Breakfast not great but ok. I wouldn't stay here again, I'd probably take an hotel close to a metro station and get here (fuencarral is the closest station to the business park). Overall not a bad experience but not great to recommend this kind of accomodation to anybody.Pricewise is ok and if you are priority club you get free wifi (normally is almost ¿¿¿4 per hour.. )

Great Value and Great Service
I stayed there for one night on business, arrived very late (11:30pm) reception was 1 floor up from the ground which was easliy enough to find as was met by warm welcome - . Hotel was modern and very clean, it was ideally located for my meeting in the morning.The room had 2 double sized beds and certainly loads of room if it was used by a family. Had to pay for wifi (¿¿¿11 for 24 hours or ¿¿¿4 for 1 hour) so a little expensive in my view.Check-out was easy and they got me a taxi very quickly to get to my meeting. If I'm in Madrid area again I'd use this hotel.

Great value
Stayed here for two weeks while my child went to a dance camp near by. The hotel staff is friendly, the rooms are clean, and the breakfast is OK. The price was great. Be sure to check your A/C when you arrive - not all the units work well. Free parking and free breakfast, clean rooms and friendly staff, room for three people in the room - GREAT value for the Madrid area.

Good cheap suburban hotel
Both Google Maps and the HI web page have the location wrong. It is on Calle Metalurgia. It is basic, clean and cheap. We like a free breakfast, but found this one to be disappointing: the cereal tasted like dry dog food, and the pastries were old. The walk to La Granja subway station is not bad, and the bus stops in front of the hotel to take you to and from the Plaza de Castilla subways station. We liked having a Carrefour across the highway from the hotel. There is a pedestrian overpass in front to the hotel. Once over the overpass, if you go right you must go through a weed covered lot and up a steep slope to the Carrefour parking lot. If you go left, there is a longer but more level route. The Carrefour mall has a McDonald's with free wifi.

48 Euros a night, what more do you want?
Right :1) the hotel is a Holiday Inn Express. They are the same the world over, they give you what they say on the tin, clean rooms, a good bed and a plentiful breakfast included in the cost.2) Yes, it was 20 minutes walk to the metro through an industrial estate and the pavements were a bit rutted and uneven and there is a steep incline at the end of the walk, and it was hot but...3) the underground is very good, extremely clean and easy to manipulate so we made the 45 minute journey in and out of the city cheaply and efficiently.4) one note of warning - the hotel is one stop out of the Centre Zone so you buy a ticket at La Ganja by the hotel and then three stops down the line at Les Trois Olives everyone has to get off the train and change platform. At that point you need to buy another ticket to travel into the centre. This is repeated on the way home so its two tickets @ 1.5 euros per trip from hotel to City Centre. We were only there for two days so it wasn't so bad for us but it could mount up if you were there for any longer.Over all this hotel fitted the bill for us but I wouldn't have wanted to stay there any longer as it was a bit too far out for me.Another warning DONT be tempted to use the Hamburger Tex Mex place across the road. We went there cos I fancied a steak. They didn't have any! The staff were rude and unhelpful and the food was terrible, when I returned my meal there was no apology, just another burger which wasn't raw. The ribs however were raw and the salad old and wilted.
